I had a wonderful experience at Clarice's. I went during a big gown sale and even though they were very busy and I was on a budget, they paid a lot of attention to me. I didn't feel like I was ignored in lieu of other customers. They helped me with all the dresses and didn't balk about having to tie me into every single one of them and gave me honest opinions. I showed up alone to dress shop, so I didn't really have anyone to help dress me. Some places I'd visited made it apparent I was too big of an inconvenience. At Clarice's, they even took pictures on my phone for me to text my mom, who was on vacation. I was impressed with the courtesy that the other shops I visited lacked. Not to mention, I was able to get a great deal, they bargained with me, and I was able to walk out the door with my dress. They were very helpful and sweet; absolutely no complaints.

I was incredibly pleased with Larimore House. Level of service was just superb--they even took our plates away and warmed them up while we were shmoozing with our guests so we didn't have cold dinners :) Very accommodating, lovely venue, and excellent food. Megan was a great coordinator and Allen and Dena were SO on top of things. Just excellent. I felt like once I booked them, all I had to do was relax. I wanted an all-inclusive venue--didn't want to find linens, then chairs, then food, etc, because my husband was deployed at the time. They were very understanding and helpful. And, best of all--there were some things I really wanted to do. We had centerpieces, florals, favors, etc, all brought in (some DIY), and they were very cool about that. Some places I spoke to would get very annoyed if you didn't use "their" vendors or purchase the extra add-ons--not these guys!

I was really unhappy with Rhonda Jean photos. While she did a great job on our engagement photos, I feel like our wedding photos were only okay. She included shots we specifically asked not to be included due to awkward family situations, but it's not like we could say no once we were lined up. My bridesmaids also told me she was rude to them when I was in the bathroom at one point. It took her 6 months to get our images to us--apparently you don't get those until AFTER the album is proofed, which of course, took forever because she kept letting client's email go to spam box, didn't return phone calls, misspelled my name multiple times, blamed her assistant for not being able to do things properly and allowed her pregnancy to interfere with her quality of work and ability to provide services. She didn't offer any sort of compensation for dragging any of this out nor apologized. She was very flaky and passed the blame too often for my taste. She always had an excuse as to why something didn't get done, promised deadlines she never reached, never kept me updated on progress, was difficult to get in contact with, and came across as incredibly unprofessional as time went on. I felt like once she got her money, she slacked on her end of the bargain. She even complained to me about another client of hers at one point, which I thought was just bad business practice. She told me she "usually" doesn't work with brides my age because of our maturity (even though we are 2 years apart). But, hindsight is 20/20. We're satisfied with our album and do love some of our photos, but I felt like our wedding day photos were cliche/typical (not the impression we got from her gallery OR our engagement photos) and a lot of our couple photos I really think are silly looking. It got to the point where we just WANTED our album even though she didn't bother to touch up our skin or anything. Working with her became a huge headache. I even had our contract reviewed by another professional photographer (somebody I came to know after the fact) who said the contract was nothing but fluff. I know I'm not the only bride who had this issue--a friend of mine also used Rhonda Jean Photography (got married a month before me) and we'd frequently lament about the problems we were having with her and how her excuses were not the same and nothing added up! We felt like she was constantly lying to us to cover her own butt. Like I said, it took SIX MONTHS to get my photos, which was very disappointing to not only us, but our friends and family. Other family members got married in October and received their photos when we received ours. Overall, a big disappointment and what's done is done.
