My husband and I got married at the Proximity Hotel in the Social Lobby and had our reception in the Weaver Ballroom. This hotel is magnificent. Hands down the most gorgeous and romantic hotel I've ever been in. rnThe Social Lobby is amazing, nestled below the hustle and bustle of the front reception area and graced with two spiral staircases and decorated in candlelight and natural taupe and cream hues. rnrnThe weaver ballroom was intimate and beautiful. Neutral colors allow for whatever palette you choose for your wedding. The windows bring natural light in, and in the night help the room to glow. The tables are large 12 person square and add such a touch to the room.rnrnMy wedding was made amazing because of this hotel!

My, oh my.rnrnThe cake = the most delicious part of a wedding :)rnrnManfred is amazing, hands down. His cakes are unlike any other cake around. I did tastings at nearly EVERY bakery in Greensboro. Overpriced, overly sweet and unprofessional is what I came up with time after time. One place had "assistants" (also known as the high school teenagers who work behind the counter) that gave you the cake samples and knew NOTHING about cake design but then proceeded to tell you if you liked the cake, the owner would call you sometime in a couple of days to go over things. Yikes! I don't live in the area, and I have to communicate about how I want my dream wedding cake to look over the phone? No, thanks! To top it off, the air was broken in the heat of the August and the cake was melted and wet, no mention of that prior to us showing up. The other place bad mouthed every other bakery in town, and then treated me like a number. rnrnBut Manfred, Manfred, Manfred....he is so professional and his work is magnificent. His meringue buttercream is hands down the most amazing I've ever tasted. It pairs so well with his cake and fillings.rnrnOur cake was 4 layers. Red Velvet with White Chocolate filling, Chocolate with Peanut Butter filling, Chocolate with Strawberry Amaretto filling and Yellow with Frangelico. Not a drop of cake left, and everyone is still talking about how fresh and delicious it was!

May I add that I hit the vendor jackpot? Everyone was AMAZING.rnrnEspecially, Stephen at Plants and Answers.rnrnOh my, he was FABULOUS! My flowers were breathtaking and JUST what I asked for. My bridesmaids were amazing, and my Matron of Honor's bouquet stood out like I requested :)rnrnHe was so professional - I'd HIGHLY recommenced them. :)

Wally West is hands down the BEST DJ in the Triad area.rnrnHe was SO professional, attentive and FUN!rnrnHe wasn't cheesy, and didn't annoy everyone with lame nonsense.rnrnHe has you fill out forms so that he can get an idea of everything you want, because it is YOUR day!rnrnHe played everything we wanted from our list, and others that we loved. He kept everyone out on the dance floor and no one walked away without having some fun!rnrnHis communication is fabulous, and I'd HIGHLY recommend him!
