Frank was awesome! He did a really great job of mixing the genres that we had requested and keeping everyone on the dance floor. He met with us several times prior to the event and even came to the rehearsal because he had not had a chance to see the venue prior to that. We really appreciated his hard work and his patience with us when we were indecisive. We highly recommend hiring him for your next event.
BTB was incredible. The food was phenomenal. Many of our guests commented that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Mysti was extremely helpful and accommodating to all of our requests. All of the rentals were included in the price, so we didn't have to worry about getting tables or linens and we had the meal served family style which worked out wonderfully. I would suggest them to anyone for catering a special event. I also used them for event coordinating services and I probably wouldn't suggest them for that. There were several things that didn't go as planned and I was a little disappointed. I think that some of them were due to my lack of communication, but I think I would have been happier if I had hired someone who didn't already have a lot on their plate for the day.
We hired The Original Trolley & Limousine Co to transport our wedding guests between the hotel and the venue and it was wonderful. They were so easy to work with and professional. The driver showed up early to do a trial run just as the bridal party was headed out to the cars, so she happily gave us a ride to the venue. We couldn't have been happier with everything and a ride back to the hotel with all of our friends was the perfect way to end the night. Unfortunately we all underestimated the amount of time it would take to travel back and forth during traffic, so we started a bit late, but don't most weddings?
The Parador is absolutely gorgeous and was a perfect place for both the ceremony and the reception. The gardens were blooming and the weather was wonderful. Since our wedding was relatively small and we did not have a buffet, we only rented the Duomo and it was a great size for us. We had our ceremony and cocktails in the garden, but I'm not sure that more than 125 could be seated in the garden. The manager, Sheila, is easy to work with and the food from Behind the Bash was incredible. (When we booked, they had an approved list of caterers, but since then BTB is now the only caterer.) My only hesitation was that we felt that the rental price was a little high considering that the only thing included is use of the facility, but we decided to go for it anyway because we loved the location.
When I initially went to Ventura's I was impressed. They had a great selection of dresses and we were able to spend as much time as we needed looking at dresses and trying them on. They also had a decent amount of dresses available in larger sizes and my consultant Brittany was wonderful. She was very professional and helpful. Things were the same when I returned to purchase a dress a few months later. We had narrowed it down to two dresses and Brittany went out of her way to make sure that I was happy with my choice and that I got a great price. Unfortunately, Brittany left Ventura's and the service went downhill from there. The girls in the shop were unresponsive and often couldn't answer my questions immediately but wouldn't call me back and such. Maybe it was because they were not getting the commission on my dress, but I think they should have been more professional.
