I bought my dress elsewhere and had is serviced my this shop and their seamstress, Paulina. I was VERY satisfied with the services. Art cleaned and pressed my dress and my mothers and Paulina did our alterations. It all turned out wonderful and I would definitely recommend them.
I bought my dress from their storefront in Alton, IL. They were fantastic. They went to far as to pull my dress from boxes of shipment they has just received to that I could try it on. When I ordered my dress, there was a snafu with the shipping times from the designer. I was notified promptly of the problems and the customer service ladies were amazing helping me solve it. I ended up buying the brand-new sample I had tried on and they honored the 50% off deal even though I had ordered my dress for full price. I totally recommend buying from them!
Lee did my wedding flowers and they were INCREDIBLE. The flowers were exactly what I asked for and they looked perfect with my decor. My bouquet was out of this world, Lee went the extra mile and added a few touches I had no idea about. Lee is super friendly and responsive. He was there any time I wanted to change something or had a question. Not only were my flowers spectacular, but the price was definitely right. Lee quoted my HALF the price of other florists that I took my pictures to.
I recently had my wedding reception in the Mayfair Room at the Roberts Mayfair and the experience was wonderful! Ayanna, the banquet manager, was amazing and super helpful. She took care of absolutely everything, was always prompt in responding to questions and got us a great price on everything. The day of went super smooth. If there were any problems, I never knew anything about them. The food was amazing and the service awesome. The only issue I had was that I was a little peeved that the banquet staff started clearing the room before all my guests had even left.
I did not end up buying a dress at Elite, but I went there on 2 different occasions to try on dresses. The saleslady was very sweet and helpful. They did not try to pressure me in to buying anything and they had a fairly large selection in all price ranges. Overall, I would say that I had a good experience with them.
I ordered my wedding cake from Wedding Wonderland for my 10/30/10 wedding. Overall, I was alright with what they presented but not totally satisfied. The good: They were very nice and polite during my consultation, the prices are very affordable, they were willing to custom design a cake with me, the cake tasted good. The bad: They made my cake wrong. My wedding cake was meant to look like stained glass with the black piping and the circles filled in with icing. Well, instead of icing they airbrushed it and it made the bright colors bleed ALL OVER the white background. I was extremely disappointed.
I went to Simple Elegant to try on wedding dresses and was disappointed with their service overall. My sales consultant did not listen to anything that I wanted. I specifically told her that I did not want ruching or pickups and when asked to pull a dress for me, she brought my a dress with ruching and pickups. Um, no. Plus, she kept bringing me things that were out of my budget. On the flipside, the store is lovely. The dressing areas are spacious and comfortable.
