I have 5 dozen water/juice glasses that I bought (never used) for my wedding. I'm willing to sell them by the dozen... they're nice and I'd use some at home, but I don't need this many!

I'm in Charlottesville, VA during the week and Bethesda, MD on weekends. Less than $0.67 each!

I am so happy to be posting again with some (hopefully) good news! I called Hannelore's bridal in Old Town after seeing they carried Monique Lhuillier and they (like blushing audrey!) recommended Imperial Bridal in Fairfax...from my first time calling I knew I was in the best hands possible. Steve Saidman listened carefully to my tale and offered to see me right away to evaluate my dress. He spent over an hour with me and gave me tons of great advice, he clearly has a lot of experience with high end and delicate vintage gowns and was completely confident in working with my alcenon lace and silk lined dress. After resolving the issue with my seller and requiring her to pay for the restoration of my dress I am pleased to say it's now in Steve's capable hands and I am hoping for the best...I am expecting a call at the end of August to come 'visit' my dress and see what sort of magic he's performed! He truly turned around what was a truly horrifying experience and based on customer service alone I would recommend him to all brides - DC area and nationwide. I promise to post when I see the dress again, I am thinking it will be an ecstatic one. : )

Hi Ladies!

I had a pink and brown wedding in May, and I am ready to sell some of the parts of my candy buffet!

I have:

12 4oz metal candy scoops, $2 each.

5 2oz clear plastic scoops, .50 each.

12 dark pink 8" lanterns with brown satin ribbon and LED lights $6 each.

1 bag (I would say about 2 or 3 lbs) of a pink candy mix. There are strawberry milkshake whoppers, strawberry robins eggs (both regular and mini), pink and white kissables, dark and light pink M&M's, and maybe some other pink things here and there. $5.

I have tons of photos of these, so please email me if you would like to see some!

BaghdadBride on "MOB Dress Shopping in Washington, D.C.???"

Oh yeah as far as great stores for wedding items - Claire Dratch, Harriet Kassman, Riziks, and Saks Jandell all have wedding stuff (if you means clothes, shoes, accessories)

But also check out Promise for the Savvy Bride (http://www.promisedc.com), Hitched (http://www.hitchedsalon.com) and Carine's Bridal http://carinesbridal.com/

I second all the recommendations above, but you should also check out Harriet Kassman http://harrietkassman.com/ and Riziks http://www.riziks.com/

As an aside Claire Dratch, Saks Jandell, Harriet Kassman and Riziks are all upscale...I'm not sure what your budget is, but you won't find many $200 gowns there. These are all places women shop to go to things like inaugural balls.

If you are looking for something more money friendly then the most bang for your buck would be Tysons Mall ttp://www.shoptysons.com/ It has Nordstrom, Macys, Bloomingdales, and Lord and Taylor all in the same mall. And across the street at Tysons II http://www.tysonsgalleria.com is Neiman Marcus and Saks. I know you have all these stores in New York but it's convenient to have all these department stores right in the same area if nothing else pans out.

I agree with Clair Dratch- I actually live like ten yards away from it, and often find myself staring in the windows. It's kinda pricey though, and you won't be seen unless you have an appt. They also have wedding dresses too, so it's kinda fun. Good luck!

Its not cheap, but I've heard wonderful things about Saks Jandell in Friendship Heights; really fabulous eveningwear that isn't prom-y. They do a lot of inaugural ball business. Expect to spend a couple hundred dollars at least, I think.

She taught us the tango which was a HUGE hit at our wedding for our first dance. Her studio is in Annandale and she can do whatever package/hours/dances you want/need. She was so good and KNOWS how to teach a person who has never danced before (freestyle or anything for that matter) understand the mechanics and ideas of dance. For us that equaled to confidence and a great performance on our first dance. Good luck and have great fun =)

I second Paul Mola! We had a great experience. On the day of, my husband totally choked, and then my bussle fell out and he stepped on it and we got all tripped up, so our first dance wound up just being the foxtrot box step over and over because we couldn't even spin with him standing right on my dress, but the lessons themselves were a blast, and I'd be game to give it another go, in either a properly-bussled dress, or something a tad more form-fitting!
