I know there are at least a couple other Indianapolis brides out there ...

Cake. Where did you try/buy? What price ranges did you find per slice? Anyone go with cupcakes? Or a few, separate, special occasion cakes (like, simple, round, cakes) instead of a full-on wedding cake?

Background: I got engaged July 4, moved to Indy July 15, and am getting married here next June ... it is hard planning a wedding in a city you don't know at all yet! :P

Hi Haselwand,
I am getting married in Indy but ordering my linens from a company in NYC. I can give you the name but probably not what you are after. Who is your caterering company? They may be able to help with chivari chair rental.

Hello Indiana bees!

I'm hoping that some of you might have recommendations for rental companies in Indianapolis and surrounding areas (Lafayette, Richmond, etc.). I'm looking for floor length table linens and Chivari chairs in silver. I've found a few companies on the internet, but it is always good to hear about another bride's experience working with them!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Depends on how you are setting up the programs...I see it in one of two places, or both, again depending on the program.

If you are describing the ceremony, you could list

Entrance of the Bride.............escorted by Brother

Or if you are listing the wedding party and family, you could list

Parents of the Groom..........Mr. and Mrs. Groom

Mother of the Bride..............Mrs. Bride

Brother of the Bride.............Mr. Brother

Best man..............

etc

Ok, my question is this: My daughter-in-law to be's father passed away 1 1/2 years ago. Her brother is walking her down the aisle. How do we put that on the program. He's not a groomsmen, so his name won't be listed there. I just want to make sure his name gets on the program.

Thanks
