Long time, no update. i know. well, today, we finally agreed to the contract and gave authorization to release our first deposit. </p> <p>And someone did mention our venue...the Irvine Hilton. It's not my first or second choice. Actually, it&nbsp;landed a spot in 3rd because of the convenience, the price, and the renovations. I wish the outside reflected the inside of the hotel, but oh well. </p> <p>We are getting married on a Sunday evening. We were able to get a discount for doing it then. </p> <p>I feel so much better now. I didn't think I was going to get over that awful feeling of not being able to find a place. The reception venue looks like a Lodge. It's so serene&nbsp;and the outdoor site&nbsp;seems like from a different world. The best thing is that you will be the only event&nbsp;on that day so you have no&nbsp;concurrent event.
