I've religiously been stalking weddingbee since me and my boyfriend first started talking about marriage, oh about 6 months ago i'd say. Bookmarking everything I liked even a little and printing out pictures to pass along to him. Well last night he officially made me less crazy for spending so much time researching and proposed! We're both so excited. Although we agreed from the beginning it would be a somewhat long engagement due to the fact we are both in graduate school and haven't got much time to begin with. We are both ready, waiting and excited!

I just want to make an official announcement that my husband is OUT of the Army (he's now Reserves) and is moving home to live with MEEEEE!!!! We've been long distance for a few years, not to mention he spent 15 months in Iraq! He gets his first Thanksgiving home in two years next week. Ok, so I have been perusing this site for a few weeks now, even made a comment or two; however, I have not actually introduced myself. My name is Amanda and I have been engaged since Dec. of '08. My wedding is July 24th, 2010. Thus far my engagement has been one of a roller-coaster ride. LOTS of ups and LOTS of downs. Since I have first started planning I have changed my mind on, I don't know, a bazillion things. Finally recently I have started commiting to ideas. The main one being my "theme". I will be having a vintagey, chic bird themed wedding..and boy am I EXCITED!!! Aside from the craziness of in-laws, over opinionated sisters and a budget that is less than hoped for, I am happy to be getting so involved with wedding plans and ecstatic to be marrying my one and only (awww, how sweet). I hope to get some great ideas (already have gotten some) and inspiration from this blog as well offer support and advice (when wanted of course) as well as receive some in return. Hope to talk to ya'll soon.

Thought I would introduce myself since I'm new here and foreseeing spending *A LOT* of time on this site in the coming months. My name is Katerina and I currently reside in New York City with my FI. We've been together for almost three years - started dating in Madrid on Valentine's Day 2007 and got engaged this past June in Prague. We just set our date for next Labor Day weekend and are planning to get married in Philadelphia where we met and went to college. I'm the first of my friends to do a wedding, so I went into this pretty clueless. My biggest challenge so far has been planning while also working long hours in finance. So far, wedding blogs and sites like this one have been incredibly helpful. Look forward to lots of quality weddingbee time as I continue planning :)

i joined the site a few weeks ago, but never introduced myself! 26 consultant and law school student, happily engaged since 8/24/09, and counting down the planning days til our wedding on 9/18/10!! :D we've booked our venue! <a href="http://www.cherrycreekgolf.com">www.cherrycreekgolf.com</a> i've bought my dress!! and picked out the BM dresses!! we have lined up our officiant, booked my church for the ceremony, picked our RD spot, flower shop, cake lady, and photogs - we'll be meeting this saturday! i am slowly, but surely getting addicted to this site and can already feel the love between the fellow bees! :)

Hello everyone! I see I'm not alone going nuts about my wedding plans, even tho I have no date yet, it will be late October early November of 2010 YAY! After dating Mr.Right for 5 years he finally decided to wake me up a Saturday morning (10/24/2009) with a kiss and the nicest ring I've ever seen, he then got down on both knees haha because the bed was kind of low and ask me to marry him, it was perfect......I always told him to PLEASE never do it in public haha! The wedding will be traditional, we are inviting about 100 family and friends and it will be HOPEFULLY a perfect affair HAHA (don't we all want that!) Anyway, I wanted to introduce myself and become one of you =) I'm sure we all can help each other here haha! M.
