I know I've vented about this on other threads before, but tonight I am seriously about to lose it on my dog - and by my dog, I mean DH's dog, because I never in a million years would I have selected a breed that is known for being stubborn and difficult to potty train. I also would of made sure it was properly trained as a puppy, but I wasn't around then.

I have tried EVERYTHING, and no matter what he pees all over the floor and keeps me up all night whining and scratching (DH is a heavy sleeper, so I'm the only one he wakes up). Before I lived here DH had a little room setup for him in the breezeway between the garage and house. I disliked this because you get really extreme temperatures in there during winter and summer, so now he has a crate in the laundry room. I have tried crate training and was super consistent and patient for a long time, but I CANNOT TAKE IT ANYMORE. Nothing works! In desperation I've tried letting him out of the crate, but then he scratches at the doors and still barks!

And the peeing problem..he pees EVERYWHERE. I've had him examined by several vets and there is nothing physically wrong, it is definitely a behavior issue as we let him out frequently and take him for walks on a regular basis. He gets lots of attention too, it is quite rare for him to be home alone bored all day or anything like that since DH's work schedule and mine are not very much alike. He will be outside for quite some time playing and he'll go to the bathroom...then we let him in the house and the second we're not looking he pees! Our carpet is awful.

I am so exhausted from how much I wake up during the night that I just want to cry. I have a 4 page essay due in seven hours that I can't seem to finish because he is driving me insane and I am so sleep deprived. It's at the point that I do not want to go anywhere near him after/during these incidents because I am seriously afraid I am going to lose it on him, I just want to smack him so bad. I know that sounds cruel and stupid, but bees I am just so tired and so aggravated he won't stop, and so frusturated with DH who thinks dog training would be a waste of money. But I'm stumped, I've tried all the methods that worked with the dogs I grew up with and he is just impossible.

He is only four, so I'm going to be dealing with this for a long time, and at the moment there is nothing I'd like more than to give him away because I can't freaking take it anymore right now!!!! I was so ready to kill him that I finally put him in the breezeway even though it's freezing, and now he is quiet...which makes no sense, he is noisy in the comfortable house but quiet and cooperative in the freezing room?

Sorry for writing a novel, but has anyone been through anything like this? Any advice?? And please be gentle - I know I probably sound like a dog hater, but I'm really not, I've always loved dogs but just can't seem to make things work with this one and am on the verge of tears right now.

I know *it* isn't going to happen. I know he won't plan anything fun for it (and he isn't the type to go for suprises). So it's just a day where my misery is exacerbated. We agreed not do anything for valentines this year, mainly because I'm sick of organising things, making nice meals, making an effort blah blah and feeling like 'what's the point?'. I guess the point is I like doing those things, and being the sucker I am I'll probably put together a nice dinner and some wine anyway because I like doing nice things for him and I like being thoughtful and making him happy, but I really just wish it was reciprocated sometimes...Which isn't to say he isn't thoughtful and lovely and makes me happy, because he is and does. I just sometimes wish it was expressed in a more traditionally cheesey form... much as it feels silly and contrived to do that sort of thing, sometimes I'd like him to come through the door with flowers instead of a new extension cord for the lamp in my craft room (although that was very nice of him to do that for me).

My graduation is the day before (tomorrow!) and I'm not even excited about it anymore because I'm in a bad mental loop. It suuucks. I think feeling stressed about finding a job after graduation combined with valentines is making me fixate on this more than I should. Boo hiss and bah humbug.

Since I am pretty much on bed rest right now and not working, I try my best to do the most I can for my hubby. I am very appreciative of him working so hard to support baby and myself. Since he has to get up at 3:30 every morning for work, I make his lunch at night time so he does not have to do it in the morning.

My FMIL is a little....scatterbrained. She ordered 125 invitations for us, when I clearly told her that 100 would be more than enough (thats another story).

Anyway, she gave us all the extras...is there anything creative I can do with them, aside from wallpaper my bathroom with them?? They are soooo pretty and I love them, I'd send them to people if I thought they just wouldn't come (no more guests in our budget). I know my mom is going to save 1 and make it into a shadow box for me with my bouquet. I don't want to throw them away, they definitely weren't cheap!

Any brides in this situation and have a unique idea?

Thanks!

Am I the only one who thinks wedding dresses are incredibly heavy and uncomfortable to be in? Or is this because I have only visited David's Bridal and Alfred Angelo so far...and tried on satin PLUS SIZE dresses. If you have a genuine silk dress, would say it is more comfortable to wear, lighter to wear than a lower priced polyester satin dress? Or about the same? How does it compare to chiffon? Thanks.

I've noticed that the 6th, 13th, and 20th seem to be the most popular date in October of 2012 (mostly the 6th!) But, my fiance and I chose the 21st because it was less expensive to do it on a Sunday, and since we're paying for as much of it as we can and we're both relatively recent college grads (I graduated in '07, he just graduated in May '11) and we've got student loan payments and up until about three weeks ago we didn't have very high paying jobs we wanted to save money whereever we could!

So, anyone else go with 10.21.12? It just rolls off the tongue so nicely doesn't it? lol
