Hey there Mrs Hotwings! Happy first anniversary to you as well!! I can't believe how fast this year has flown by pfff. But it was packed with good stuff (and some bad stuff as well, but that's life I guess). On to the next :)

We celebrated yesterday. I gave DH a copy of the lyrics of our first song (he chose the song) and he gave me a rose gold watch (he said gold was the 50th anniversary gift and it was his promise we would make it to that one). We went to a museum and ate far too much food and then came home and watched the ceremony dvd and ate cake from Olive Garden haha.

I can't believe it's already been a year! I'm giving my husband a framed print of our wedding vows. We're also planning a quick beach getaway for 3 nights later this month.

Haha. FI and I are really not big on Valentine's day. I realized this year that we'll always be celebrating our half anniversary on V-day, so I jokingly brought it up to him. His response: "Look at it this way. We couldn't be getting married any FURTHER from Valentine's day." hehehe.

Our ceremony is on a Sunday by the beach, so i'm hoping their will be a nice ocean breeze to cool everyone down.

That being said, the ceremony will hopefully start at 4:30. One of my bridesmaids has to catch a flight so she'll have t leave at 6:30 and that is also why we are having an earlier ceremony.

Reception starts at 7:30.

We are having our ceremony at 6:30. I wanted it at 7:30 and my FI wanted it 5:30, so we compromised. We planned the ceremony where all the guests would be seated in the shade and we're offering programs as fans and water beforehand. We want a short cermemony (15-20 min. max) and reception directly following. We have to have the music off at 11:00 so I'm trying to reassure my fiance that this will leave plenty of party time.

i think its very cool our half anniversary will always be on valentines day! we went out to dinner last night since we weren't organized enough to get reservations for tonight. hubs is cooking dinner for me and then we're eating the top layer of our cake - i'm excited! our cake people make you a whole fresh new cake for your first anniversary, so we figured we'd eat the frozen layer now. plus we're moving and its one less thing we'll have to move. happy v day!
