My fiancé and I have been engaged since May and there has been no offer for an engagement party. Traditionally the parents of the bride throw the party, but my parents have told me they would not be hosting one. So I'm curious if any other June brides have been offered a party? Or does that typically take place closer to the wedding date? What's a typical timeline for the parties that are associated with a wedding? Showers, engagement, bachelorette, etc.

This is it, tomorrow is my big day. I am surprisingly calm and ready for it to be whatever it is to be. I am sure something will probably not go as planned and I am ok with that! I am thrilled that we will be outdoors and weather is supposed to be good. Tomorrow at age 45 I will leave being single behind. It is so stange! A whole new life lies ahead! Thanks to everyone here for being supportive, and for your wonderful ideas and inspiration!

Anyone else freaking out a bit on account of the long term weather forecast? Just checked the Farmer's Almanac and it says rain the week of my outdoor wedding! I know there are still a couple days left in June, but the last weekend of June 2010 has come and gone.  So... most June brides are MARRIED!!!!!  Congrats to all my fellow June brides!  I hope everyone's wedding was fun, fabulous, and everything you wanted!  Mine certainly was!  Share your favorite wedding photo (pro or non-pro).  I haven't received my pro pics yet, so here's one that my friend took.  It's kinda out of focus and dark, but I love it because we look so happy.  :) <img src="http://bios.weddingbee.com/pics/36410/dancing.jpg" />

We made it!! It didn't rain....the weather was pretty much perfect except a bit windy (in retrospect, should've nixed the bangs, which wouldn't stay out of my face....). The ceremony was beautiful. We started an hour late. The groom, my dad, the pastor and the photographer were the only ones who were on time. (We had 9 guests plus us total.) I found out my husband's mom drives like an absolute MANIAC. I did my makeup so freaking fast and it's never looked better. My mom told the limo driver he had the wrong number and hung up on him because she didn't understand his accent. SO MANY THINGS didn't go as planned.....and the day couldn't have been more perfect! I don't have any pics JUST yet....but here are some of my favorite quotes of the day: "25 miles per hour doesn't apply to me!!" -my crazy mother-in-law, driving us to the ceremony site "Do me a favor" -sis-in-law "What?" - me "Put something in your stomach" - SIL "What? Put what where?" (looking around) -me "Eat! I mean eat some food!" - her (this was earlier in the day...my brain was pretty much shut down all day) "OH MY GOD I'M GOING TO PULL OVER RIGHT NOW SOMEONE ELSE DRIVE!!" - me, having my only breakdown of the day and realizing I sounded vaguely like a dad with fighting kids in the backseat "I can't get it out!" -me, trying to extract our freshly cut piece of cake "That's what she said!" - sis-in-law (in front of all our family members....awesome!) "Absolutely!" - my wonderful guy, said instead of "I do"....I melted :) Yeah.....the absolute craziest, most amazing day of my life right there!!!

I am trying to be patient but it is SO. HARD! I knew that our photographer has a longer time for post-processing than some, as she is very busy. Well, she also went on vacation, and then according to Facebook, her mother is in the hospital. She is an incredible photographer and wonderful person so I would never want to rush her, but here we are 5 weeks later and I can't hardly wait, especially seeing that a lot of June brides have their pictures back! :( Anyone else still eagerly waiting?

Ok, I usually share everything with my FI, so it's so hard not to unzip the garmet bag housing my beautiful dress that I just picked up and rush it into the room to show him. I have the shoes, just took some fabulous boudior photos for his gift, and I am so freakin' excited for our BIG day. The only problem is I still have 3 months to go. So any June brides who want to share, let's get it off our chest. Post your dress pictures, hair pictures. Anything you want to share that you are so excited about.

I had my wedding yesterday and everythin went wonderfully.  I had a serious panic attack in the morning because of the forecast and it seriously rained ALL DAY.  We had to move the ceremony inside, but it was still great.  There were some breaks in the rain, so we were able to get some outside shots.  Reception was awesome.  Everyone had a great time...the DJ was great, food was great, etc. My only regret was that I drank a litttllee too much and the end of the reception is a bit blurry.  I didn't drink anymore than I normally would, but because I basically didn't eat all day, it hit me a little harder.  So, keep that in mind :o) Off for our honeymoon tomorrow AM!
