Con que contribuyen los padrinos de brindis? Compran las copas de los novios, el champagne para los invitados, o las dos cosas.. Si alguien sabe por favor deje un comentario. He visto esto en las invitaciones, pero la verdad no lo se.

Quick question. In Spain at wedding receptions, someone will cry: "Vivan los novios!" and everyone shouts in reponse: "Viva!" and the whole room toasts. This happens many times, many times throughout the wedding night (and everyone gets very drunk!)

Sometimes there's also a chant that starts and spreads around the room: "Que se besan! Que se besan!"

I'm wondering if these are only Spanish traditions, or if similar traditions exist in parts of Latin America?

I'm looking for a traditional Mexican wedding dress to wear after the reception of our wedding (for dancing) but have no idea where to look or even how it looks like. I googled 'Mexican wedding dress' and came across this dress:

I really like it, but is it even traditional? If so, where can I find something like this in the Bay Area?

Thank you!

I found this link to different verse samples, which really helped

http://www.marsinvites.com/invitaciones/…

It's from a stationer in Aguas Calientes, so this is the usual format which I've also seen in San Luis Potosi.

My FH is latino and has two last names, as many do. I am not that crazy about his first (paternal and 'main') last name because it is long and hard to pronounce. Would it be possible, when I change my name after marriage, to take his second last name?

So for example, lets say his name is Jose Rivera Garcia.

Can I become "Maggie Garcia" instead of "Maggie Rivera"? Can I pick which last name I want or do they make you take the first one or both or none?

How does this wording look to you guys. I did have it reviewed by a native speaker...but then I added the day of the week and changed the lines a little bit. Does it look okay? Any weird errors?

Do any of you know if an ampersand (&) is used in teh spanish laguage on wedding invitations in particular?

I had proofs done in mexico wich had our names shown as "Sarah & Robert" for example, the invitation lady in mexico was the one who put the ampersand in there....

In the end I decided to get them done here in the U.S. using the mexico proof as a template....but i'm noticing other spanish invites I see would just use "y"...

."Sarah Y Robert".

Is it interchangable? which is the best way?
