Just checking in, hoping everyone has had a fabulous first year of marriage! What's going on? What did you do to celebrate One Year?

We've moved, I changed jobs twice, and had major surgery, but we're doing well overall.

For our ann'y, we had a couple's massage and a rare dinner at the Melting Pot (yum!). It was very understated, romantic, and peaceful to just "be" together.

We are back from the honeymoon as of 6 am this morning. We had a great time, but it is good to be home and I am THRILLED to sleep in our own bed, (after being on a cruise ship/in hotel rooms for the past couple weeks).

The wedding went very well. Yes, things went wrong, but they were minor things, (like the aisle runner getting put down with our monogram on the alter end instead of the bride's entrance; we missed out on the photo I wanted with it, but other than that, nobody noticed). I guess one (potentionally) big thing did go wrong; feeling the crunch for time the wedding coordinator had people singing our marriage license a bit prematurely; I wasn't even in the room when my fiance was signing it! And she didn't explain how to sign it, so we did it hurriedly and THEN were told we were supposed to have signed it exactly as it was typed, (we left out our middle names and I signed my maiden name by mistake, so had to write in my new name after it). It came back in the mail stamped as approved, though, so we SHOULD be okay.

How about all the rest of my fellow twins; did you guys make it through the big day unscathed?!

Today was my second-to-last-day at work before the wedding. I haven't been nervous about much, (other than say, tripping while walking down the aisle.. ;) but today, all of a sudden I started thinking about things and my tummy filled up with butterflies, (still not nervous about the marriage, just the wedding)! I don't know how I am going to make it through tomorrow!!!! I will be glad when I am done with work and can focus on last minute details instead!

As far as what I have left to do, it's all the little things. We are making our own centerpieces, and they have to sit on top of the fridge for 24-48 hours to set, (on top of the fridge so the cats don't get at them, that is), so we can only make about six at a time. Then the favors come probably Wednesday, so I will be working on those next.

We just finished our table cloth for the cake table last night! Oh wow, am I happy with the way it turned out! We bought a large table cloth and some of those fabric-type iron on transfers and placed wedding photos of Mr. Apricot's parents and grandparents, my parents, aunts/uncles, grandparents, great-grandparents, and GREAT-GREAT-grandparents around it. The top has the saying from our invitations on it, and we scattered the double-heart logo we've been using throughout. I'm so proud!

Five days to go, ladies!!!!!!!
