No you can not have a nikah if the man you wish to marry is not a Muslim. It's not allowed because you can only marry Muslims. No sheikh or imam on earth will marry a muslim girl to a catholic guy. I am so sorry....the rules of the religion are clear on this subject. I wish you guys the best of luck with whatever happens:)

I don't know anywhere that could help, but my Turkish friend did a calligraphy course with her cousin, and then they made the invites together just how they wanted them. Have you considered doing that? As a twist, you could always scan in the Arabic lettering to the computer and play around with the overall look of the invites, before either printing them yourself or getting them professionally printed.

I'd suggest maybe looking into custom etsy invitations. I'm sure a lot of places would be able to do it if you supplied the text.

Salaam sisters!

Do you know of a place that does Arabic and English wedding invites? I've looked around, but they're all very traditional and old school. I'm looking for something modern!

Thank you!

@BayStateBride: Honestly, what he said to me was this. "Dana, I love you and if it were up to me I wouldnt want to have a wedding." He said," The most important thing to me at the end of the night is to have you be my wife." How can you say no to that? LOL anyways I've made peace with it because I know I will be making the best of it, and so will my family.
