I know I will have a blushing bride and golden groom on our signature cocktail menu, but here are some other ideas for different fall drinks I've gathered. My wedding is October 24th, this year.

Cranberry Margaritas, Champagne & Pomegranate cocktail, Caramel Apple Martini - with real caramel drizzle (or on the rim), Hazelnut-and-apple-spice martini garnished with cinnamon-spiced crushed almonds on the rim of the glass, Fall Sangria, Candy Apple- mixes white and red cranberry juices with Stoli Cranberi and a splash of sour-apple pucker....

I especially love how the caramel apple martini sounds!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, hive.

I have a bit of a dilemma. My fiance and I have our hearts set on a fall wedding at his parents' farm in Southeastern Tennessee next year. Both the ceremony and the reception will be outside and we don't have a back up venue. We have set the date for October 17, 2009 and plan to throw a late afternoon party, rain or shine. This past weekend we were so excited to see how pretty the leaves would be, as it was our "negative one-year anniversary." To our dismay, it was freeeeezing all weekend! (Note: to this Tennessee girl, "freezing" is 40 degrees in the evening.) It's usually warm until early November down here, so I was shocked, and now I'm torn. Do we go through with our plans and hope next year is warmer, or do we move the date up to late September to increase our chances of warm weather? I realize I can't control the weather, but I hope to try to avoid the cold... What do y'all think?

So now that all our weddings are over, how did they go? I've just posted a recap (with pictures) of ours at this link, but would love to hear from the rest of you.

I am also a 10-17 bride, and my colors are navy, red and gold. Navy bridesmaids dresses with gold sashes, red flowers, etc. Anyone have any fun ideas about what kinds of (gold?) flowers I could accent the reds with in the bouquets? I don't want monochromatic bouquets... Should I aim for yellow/orange instead? Here in Alabama we might not have the huge fall colors on the trees then, so I wasn't tryng to go for the standard "fall" wedding... Any input would be helpful Thanks

I am new to weddingbee and it is a little overwhelming at first! I am getting married 10/17/09 in northern nh (ie lots of colors on the trees) www.mountainviewgrand.com I was thinking of bright orange as a color, but is it too Halloween? Anyone have an orange wedding and have good ideas for accent colors? If not, any other fall wedding colors? Thanks!

This year Halloween falls on a Saturday and I was just curious if we have any Halloween brides? And if so, are you incorporating a theme of some sort on your big day?

Our wedding is on halloween as well. We were going to do a January wedding at Disney, but economically, it isn't feasible for guests to join, so we will honeymoon at Disney. I wanted a fall wedding at home, and I am not at all bothered about a Hallowedding... I agree, everyone asks about costumes. I tell them I planning on going as a bride ;-) -they can choose their own costumes. We decided on the date because the venues were available and it really grew on me.
