Anyone know the correct wording for a lesbian couple? I'm assuming its Mrs Jane Smith and Mrs. Sue Smith since they have changed their last names to be the same.  Any thoughts?

After launching my own event planning company, I'm beginning to see the boom in same sex weddings, and I love it. But, as a word of caution - make sure you review your vendor's policies ahead of time to ensure they allow and staff with gay-supportive people. I've heard of vendors sending folks who disagree with the ceremony and end up being disruptive and rude.  The best way to avoid this is to hire an event planner that specialized in gay weddings. I know one in the Denver, CO region, but there are more out there. These vendors work with others in the industry who do not discriminate.

Uhh, this is like voting for American Idol. What, no text messaging options? Anyway, vote and tell your friends! The office of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is polling reaction to the California Supreme Court decision overturning the ban on gay marriage. Most of the response they are getting is in OPPOSITION to the court action. To vote IN SUPPORT of the Supreme Court's decision on marriage equality: 1. call 1-916-445-2841 2. press 1, 5, 1, 1 (these really are the prompts to push).

Just a heads-up that the great Style Me Pretty blog (by Abby Larson) is featuring a few same-sex weddings today! So far there's not a lot that's same-sex-specific (which I think is nice... they're just cool weddings), but the pictures are beautiful, and the best part is that she mentioned that she hopes to post vendor lists later. Of the two she's posted so far, one is from Chicago and one is from SF. Yay!
