This is such a great thread!
Here is my recipe for Sun Dried Tomato Hummus

Ingredients
1 12-oz can chick peas
2 large cloves garlic
1/3 cup sun dried tomatoes
5-6 leaves fresh basil
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil (or sun dried tomato oil)
2 tsp+ tahini (sesame paste)
Salt
Pepper

Directions:
1. Drain water from the can of chick peas into a small bowl and reserve.
2. In a food processor, mix together the chick peas with garlic, tomatoes, basil and oil.
3. Add tahini. Start with a tsp and add more to taste.
4. Slowly add some of the liquid from beans for correct consistency, (about 1-2 minutes) until a smooth.
5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
6. Refrigerate for at least 30 mins before serving. This changes the taste of the hummus by allowing the flavors to form.

@hisbarista: the stuffing sounds really good with it! it is actually borrowed from the campbell's chicken website, but i tweaked it a bit to make it easier and it's a quick favorite. you can also put rice under it m, hates it with the rice.

@crebre-this is going to sound weird, but my FI makes something similar to your chicken, but he puts stuffing over the cream of Mushroom. He calls it Nancy's chicken. It's amazing! You should try it sometime.

@madcat: it was phenomenal!! i am the op for the engagement chicken and i am beginning to think this thread may lead to the ring lol, you know the way to his heart is his belly, right?! lol... i was a bit more liberal on the cheese (i used 4 cups total) and salsa and a bit less on the sour cream since my wonderful boyfriend ate loaded baked potatoes and had sour cream with it lol.. my son said oh mommy it looks like a sideways taco :D... and yes the eight year old loved it and said i was the best cook ever!! I have to add this and the brisket to my blog!!

Thanks ladies for making me look good :D

This is my favorite bread recipe, it's at Epicurious.com. It's a bit too sweet for me, so I usually cut the sugar down significantly, and I also usually halve the recipe because we can only get through one loaf before it goes bad, and I don't think it tastes as good frozen and thawed as fresh. It's not that much work, so I just bake it a couple times a week.

"This bread is easy, and it is a bit sweet so it can take the place of brioche in many recipes. Or you can adjust the sweetness down, and add herbs or spices for variety."

Ingredients:

2 cups warm water

2/3 cup white sugar

1 1/2 tablespoons active dry yeast

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1/4 cup vegetable oil

6 cups bread flour (or ordinary, or white whole wheat)

Directions:

In a large bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water, and then stir in yeast. Allow to proof until yeast resembles a creamy foam. Mix salt and oil into the yeast. Mix in flour one cup at a time. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth. Place in a well oiled bowl, and turn dough to coat. Cover with a damp cloth. Allow to rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour. Punch dough down. Knead for a few minutes, and divide in half. Shape into loaves, and place into two well oiled 9x5 inch loaf pans. Allow to rise for 30 minutes, or until dough has risen 1 inch above pans. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes.
