@spicyrutabaga: Thank you! I have talked to the venue and the woman that runs it is sweet as can be but she has A LOT of idever and they are all over the place. I'm really wish the venue had pictures of more receptions so I could make sure that I have everything covered! Planning a wedding is quite stressful! Haha!

I would speak to your venue to see if they have coordinators that can let you know what you need. Etsy has been a great source for me as well as Pinterest. You sound like you have a great idea already of what you want, now you just need to make a few purchases to go with your theme. It will come together eventually! Happy Planning!

Thank you :) I have looked at so many things but I feel like I am going to forget something. I have been to the venue like 3 times and every time I go to the venue I see something else I want to do or I want to add. I am thinking about asking the venue if they would ask one of the brides if I could pop in before the reception to see their setup to get an idea of what the venue is capable of looking like.

Sounds like an amazing venue. I have the same sort of theme! Look everywhere for inspiration! When I started planning I checked all my favorite wedding blogs everyday! Save images you like on your computer or on pintrest. It is never too early to start putting things together. The more you have done the more time you have for perfecting everything and adding stuff. Also make your wedding about you and your FI. In my excperience the best weddings have been the ones where the couple have put time in the planning and put some of them in their day! And there are my words of wisdom, good luck!

Hi Everyone,

My bridesmaids will be wearing Impressions dress 1568. Initially the girls were going to have champagne colored dresses but then I saw the silver/grey color and fell in love with it. The groomsmen will be wearing vest and ties in the same silver/grey. However, when it comes to the room i like a more romantic feel. I love white linens, white flowers, candles and amber up-lighting. I was wondering if the girls dresses and the room will clash? Also I was wondering if the girls dresses and room have to match. I could always do, white, silver and purple up-lighting... but I love the amber.. However I want it too look good. I am going to attach a picture of the dresses and color of uplighting. Mind you though the picture of the room is not accurate of what my decor will be just the lighting.

I have seen so many lovely weddings come ago across the Bee but my question to all you lovely ladies is how did you know what to do? How did you know what decorations you needed? How did you create your wedding day? I am doing a lot of this on my own and I have seen so many different wedding inspirations that are so beautiful I don't know how to ensure that my wedding day was not only beautiful but also functional. Also I have been to one wedding in my life as I am the first of my friends to get married so besides the computer screen I have no references!

--I have accomplished picking a theme, it is Rustic/Country Chic/Burlap and Lace. We are getting married at a historic farmhouse complex. We will say "I do" in the gazebo and then party under a tent covering a huge brick patio connected to the house.

Great points Bees! I had figured they would be easy to clean up as it's in a small contained garden area, but I honestly hadn't factored in wind, which could easily push them under hedges.

I think it will have to be real for the environment's sake!
