My MOH is wearing a DB dress for my wedding and she LOVES it! Alterations ARE expensive there so watch out! She is an off the rack 2 though so it worked out haha.

Yeah, I have.  I think they are pretty good quality.  I didn't have this issue with my dress but I did hear my sister say that her dress had so many layers underneath that it was a big pain to alter the lenght.   Here is a picture of me in my friend's wedding.  I'm on the right.  Just don't look at my hair, it's hideous.  The person who did my hair did not know what he was doing. <img src="http://bios.weddingbee.com/pics/48391/me_and_tiff_at_megs_wedding.jpg" /> Here's another photo.  So you can see what my dress looked like. The dresses are a good quality--just watch out for the sizing. I bought a dress for my friend's wedding that was $98 and after alterations it came out to almost $300!!!

I'll throw in one more option. I read on theknot.com at one point that some girls are wearing one dress at the ceremony and one dress at the reception. Although the cost might get a little steep (depending on how good of a deal you can get on one or both of the dresses), that could be a way to have the dramatic long train at the church ceremony and then wear something lighter and more garden party-ish for the reception. I know that at my best friend's wedding, one thing she did remark on was the unexpected weight of her dress as the reception dragged on. But I'm also thinking that you will hopefully only get married once, and it's your one chance to do the dramatic long train thing! :)

Yep I've worn a few DBs dresses.  I think that since you only wear them once then to spend less is better.  I have never thought they looked too cheap in person.

If you haven't sold your dress yet, another place you might want to post an ad for it is on OnceWed.com. That site is more centered on selling wedding dresses, whereas this one seems to be more about the forums, I think.

I have never worn a NON-DB bridesmaid dress!  I think they are great quality and both my wedding dress and BM dresses are from DB.  Plus you only wear it once so anything looks good for at least a day!
