If you want to be in the midst of all the action, stay in Lahaina...I'd recommend the Sheraton - friends have been married there &amp; their honeymoon suite (complimentary on the wedding night) was beautiful &amp; comfortable.&nbsp; If you're looking for that resort feeling &amp; don't mind sharing with A LOT of others with the same mindset, stay in Wailea.&nbsp; But my personal favorite (&amp; my FI's - his family lives in NorCal but ALWAYS vacations in Maui @ the same resort) is the Napili Coast...just north of Kaanapali.&nbsp; You'll find Kapalua Resort, the Ritz-Carlton, &amp; FI's family's favorite: Napili Kai Resort.&nbsp; I LOVE NKR, so do FI's family - been going there for over 30 years...it's not big, has plenty of rooms, some like hotel rooms, others like beachfront bungalows.&nbsp; It practically has a private beach...and if you're renting a car, Kaanapali &amp; Lahaina shops &amp; restaurants are only a 10 minute drive down the coast.</p> <p>Good Luck with your search &amp; SOOO happy that you're going to spend your honeymoon on Maui...it's no ka oi!</p> http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/thailand-phuket-region#post-817800 Sun, 21 Mar 2010 11:34:02 +0000 Future Mrs. Martin 817800@http://boards.weddingbee.com/ <p>I really REALLY want to go to Thailand.
