Thanks, peanutlovespumpkin!  I LOVED the service I got at L'ezu...Patty was my consultant - I think she's the designer?  It was FANTASTIC!  I'm super excited for this sample sale since my mom is coming in for Thanksgiving, so now we can do some SERIOUS dress hunting.

@charm:  Oooohhh cool!!  I would definitely at least call or try it on before, they were VERY helpful!  Carly was my consultant, she was the best  GL and keep us posted!

Thank you so much for the warning, I'm planning on getting married in Southern California next November so I will definitely stay far away. That's horrible and very unprofessional what they did to you. It's supposed to be your special day!! You shouldn't have had to pay for anything in my opinion. I hope you at least get some of your money back for your veil.

OMG, there is a L'ezu dress that I am in love with but refused to even go try on because I probably can't afford it.  Do you know if all there dresses will be on sale? I should go try it on before the sample sale and just casually ask?

I know that the company Design Visage is very popular in the LA area for wedding hair and makeup (including for asian brides, which I am). Unfortunately, all of these terrible things happened to me because I hired Design Visage, and I would like to warn others so it doesn't happen to you. - on my wedding day, they got make up on my veil. it made me an hour late and because of that we didn't finish family photos and lost time for the reception. - two of my bridesmaids' hair up-do's fell out (you can see it falling out in the wedding pictures) - my skin looks oily and shiny in the pictures.- - they tried to give me only 2 beauticians to do hair and makeup for SEVEN people in 2 hours. - they use cheap makeup despite charging high prices (drug store brands, including reused mascara which caused an eye infection) - i had to demand and fight for reimbursement for my veil, and then Caren never gave it to me. What awful customer service.

I used Elegant Mode Tailoring at 583 Fairfax. I think her name is Galina. It seemed to me like most of her business is wedding dresses and she was recommended to me by the store where I bought my dress. And she was affordable. She hemmed my dress, did a very simple bustle, and took it in a tiny bit at the bust. It's a tiny little shop, so I don't think she has a website. Phone is 323-933-8620.

Does anyone have a recommendation for someone who is great at wedding dress alterations?  I need my bodice taken in, the dress hemmed, and also bustled.  I would prefer to not go to a bridal salon for the alteration, but rather to someone who specializes in this.  I'm not concerned with price, only with who is the best in the area.
