Shoppers can order online only items at BBB and still use their coupons. This is even easier because they'll have your registry list - the store can look those items up with no problem.

I'm trying to register for plenty of in store items, but not worrying too much because most stores (Macy's, BBB, etc.) will order for you. People also know that gift cards are a good option. At the end of the day, you need to register for what you want and need.

@abbyful: I was just wondering with regards to BBB because in store you can use those 20% off coupons. So...if someone was getting one for me, to get the one on my registry, they'd have to spend an extra $60 if I registered in a certain color to opt to purchase it online.

My FH and I don't have a need for "things" so we were going to register for our honeymoon. Does anyone recommend a specific site and if so, why?

We are trying to keep the fees for our guests and ourselves to a minimum.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

For expensive items like a KitchenAid, I don't think it matters if it's online or in-stores. If someone is going to spend that much on you, they will plan ahead and not be running to the store the day before the event. (Stores don't have room to stock 4 different models of Kitchen mixer in 10 different colors each.)

For items under $50, I'd say it's best to stick mostly to in-store items.

I'm starting my bridal registry online now at BBB and there are some items like the KitchenAid Stand Mixer that are available in different colors, but when I search for find in store it says that there are none available in a store within 50 miles of my location.

I've seen that at Kohl's a lot too - a lot of the items say online exclusive.

Anyone run into this? Should I try to register for something that is available in most stores as well? I assume if people aren't looking to shop online then they just won't buy it if they can't find it.

Hello all, I was reading these and I too believed they were a scam. I went with all intention of saying no and passing the opportunity. I ended up getting the 10pc set and im in love with this cookware. Im 23 years old and love cooking (working on losing weight) and this stuff is incredible. My fiance and i recently took the 3 day 2 night trip to orlando and it was a blast. we drove down, hotel was free and it was a really nice get away.

I would recommend going just to see. if u have a passion for cooking like myself, and cooking healthy low calorie food, this cookware is amazing. And you can only get it if you go because it isnt offered via a store or online.

Its been about 6 months of using the products and they still look like new minus of few scratch. But the 50 year warrentee is true to their word. they will replace it for ANY reason even if it is your fault!

Go for it. I'd say 3/4s of the wedding gifts I received were ordered online and sent to my parents' house. Actually, probably more than that - about half of our shower gifts were sent to the house and ALL of our actual wedding gifts were sent to the house (tangible gifts I mean, not cards with monetary gifts). I must say, it was a really fun few weeks there having numerous packages dropped off at the house daily!

Trust me, online only is NOT going to be a deterrent for about 90% of wedding guests. There are always deals for free shipping (with purchases over a certain amount) and honestly, most people prefer the convenience of shopping online. With the price of petrol nowadays, it's not really any more cost efficient to drive to the store specifically to pick up a gift.

So with that, go ahead and register for what you want, whether it's available in store or not!

ETA: I know I'm in Australia but I'm an American, our wedding was in the States, and all of our gifts came from Macy's or Kohl's - so despite the location on my profile, this is coming from an American perspective. Just felt I needed to clarify that for some reason! :-)

Hey all!

Long story short: the plates we want from bed bath and beyond seem to only be available online. So far we haven't gotten any (but have only had engagement party), but I just feel like no one is going to get the online items (shippingcost, no 20% off coupon). Has anyone had experienced this? I cant see changing the pLates just for this but it's definitely frustrating!

What should I do?

I've never heard of not signing it during the ceremony! Every wedding I've been to they sign it after the vows. Usually someone sings or plays music, and the guests talk quietly talk amongst themselves for a few minutes while the bride and groom sit and sign the certificate and the witnesses sign then too.
