Don't give up! Maybe just take a break for awhile. It took us 6 months to find a venue and we looked EVERYWHERE. I felt just like you did, I promise. I finally kinda threw my hands up and took a break and someone mentioned a place and well.. it became my venue!!! Seriously, maybe just take a small break from it. It can be overwhelming, which makes the process even harder and more stressful. Good luck!!</p> http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/i-just-want-to-give-up#post-494064 Sun, 22 Nov 2009 17:56:54 +0000 MandyW 494064@http://boards.weddingbee.com/ <p>We've looked at over twenty venues. &nbsp;TWENTY. &nbsp;We've seen it all--the high end of the spectrum and the low end...places right outside our neighborhood and places over an hour and a half away. &nbsp;Vineyards, Restaurants, Mansions, Manors, Inns, Parks, you name it, we've seen it.</p> <p>And while many have been nice, we haven't found IT. &nbsp;The place that is close enough, reasonable enough, cozy enough, convenient enough for us. &nbsp;I've even been scouring the internet for vacation rentals in our area to see if we can rent an estate for a weekend!</p> <p>I don't feel like we're being picky, I think we just have a specific vision. &nbsp;And ALL of our guests will be coming from out of town, so it seems like every time we find a place that we might like, it's too inconvenient to get to/not close enough to the airport.</p> <p>Looking for a place to get married has been my second job for months now and I still haven't had success! &nbsp;Has anyone else had this difficulty or are we being too picky/unrealistic in our vision?</p> http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/swwestern-burbs-venue#post-493712 Sun, 22 Nov 2009 15:10:35 +0000 soon.to.be.person 493712@http://boards.weddingbee.com/ <p>I also suggest Gale Woods! I am getting married there August 2010. The overall price is fairly reasonable - but you can bring in your own wine and beer and the approved caterering list is also cost-effective.
