Hi all,

Did anyone get married at or tour the Lake Mohawk Country Club? What are your thoughts on the space for the whole affaire: ceremony, cocktail and reception?

I am trying to get an idea of pricing as well for a Saturday afternoon into evening event.

Thanks so much!

Oh, those are pretty! :) I really think you are all set! Add your green runner and your two different styles to the tables and you will be good to go. You could add gossamer and/or maybe some Christmas lights?

Here is the photo from Kayla Way's wedding. I was going to suggest something like this but with green tissue poms (or green floral poms) But I think what you have chosen is nice!

How about uplighting the pillars.

I also think the place would be well suited to take a starcloth, but it might be quite pricey. Or perhaps twinkle lights (aka pea lights)

Ideas: Star cloth, Twinkle lights, Uplighters

@paigers91: I dont like the fact that it looks old and plain. And I will for sure NOT have the buffet table outside. lol. But we will be putting some high cocktail tables outside for those that want to get some fresh air.

@creativeplannertobee: I agree, I will not have any chair covers. Thanks for the picture. I really like the table decor. Since we already ordered white napkins, I was thinking of adding a green runner.

@Ms Rocky Point: Like I said, I think it looks old =(. I really like the lanterns too =) We will be putting those outside. My mom didnt like the idea of having them inside. I was thinking of adding some gossamer to the ceiling.

Half of the tables will have these centerpieces (with purple flowers rather than blue)

And the other half will have short centerpieces. Here is a picture of the base (flowers are missing). We are doing our own centerpieces:

Where's your venue paigers?!

I played around with May 23 too! It's definitely cheaper than a friday or saturday! One thing I was told, if you pick a date near memorial day weekend, your anniversary each year will always fall around the weekend. Giving you guys a nice 3 day weekend to celebrate. Just something to think about :)

what is it that you don't like about it? What were you thinking for centerpieces? I would use something tall, or use some decorations on the ceiling. I personally love paper lanterns :)

@mcj040916: It all depends on what kind of feeling you want your reception to have, but with that said, here is another bee's wedding with your colors. As @paigers91: said, once you have your colors in there, it will make a big difference. (And for your reception, I wouldn't add chair covers, because your chairs are already white, I would maybe add an eggplant sash if you want/have a budget for it.

I think the inside has a lot of potential, especially once you get your linens in there and your centerpieces. What do you not like about it.

As far as the buffet table outside...that just seems awkward. I probably would not have my buffet table there.
