Jules: I ordered the pen from here: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.88, actually I got 2 (free shipping, I really don't know how they even afford it). I was a little nervous it coming from Hong Kong and all, but it came and it's awesome! Like I said, I got 2, because I was afraid one may not work or something and since they're so cheap, why not! They apparently also sell them at the Container Store, but I am nowhere near one, and have no idea how much they cost there.

I didn't number mine, and I did get one back that was blank. After I got it, the next day, I got a letter in the mail from the girl who mailed the blank one to say she realised she forgot to fill it out the RSVP after she sealed the envelope (it was just one of those days) so rather than opening it, filling it out and then putting it in a new envelope, she decided to mail it anyways since there was already a stamp on it and then just follow it with a letter.

So in the end, I didn't have to do any detective work. I thought it was cute that she mailed a letter instead of just calling me.

Oh no!! Have you gotten all of them back yet? Maybe you can do a process of elimination? See who you are missing RSVP's from (hopefully it's not more than a few) and then go through your list and eliminate people. Good luck piper!

I couldn't agree more, but a lot of people aren't that smart! Hence the reason for numbering

ours didn't have a specific spot for names either, so it's sort of an excuse, but since when do you send a letter/e-mail/anything without signing your name?!

I got those invisible ink pens online and am so thrilled with them! I went and numbered all my cards. It's funny, and I'm sure this isn't the case with most of the bees but it's good for future reference, but my parents got a wedding invitation - my mom wasn't really thrilled with it, because it was really drab (grey and white) and boring. I told her that it was probably pretty expensive, I don't think it was letterpress, but there were big imprints in it, not the text though. Anyway, on the RSVP card, there was a dotted line that looked like scoring, but nothing in front of it specifying that that was where they were supposed to write their names (No "M" or "Names:"). Overall, the whole thing was VERY minimalistic, but almost too much so. Anyway, I flipped the card over and it had a little "91" in the corner, I guarantee they'll be using those numbers because it's really not clear that they even want their guests to write their names! So if you don't want to number your cards, at least give your guests a chance!

This tip has been so helpful-seems like most of our single, male guests haven't written their names on their rsvp cards. We just got one back with absolutely nothing written on it-not even a name!
