http://boards.weddingbee.com/ Weddingbee Boards Topic: parents anniversary + father's day = need AMAZING gift en Fri, 10 Oct 2008 22:17:14 +0000 http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/parents-anniversary-fathers-day-need-amazing-gift#post-51813 Tue, 20 May 2008 12:17:33 +0000 DrB 51813@http://boards.weddingbee.com/ <p>Does your father like to read, or enjoy books?&nbsp; A book is not that expensive, so you are being thrifty.&nbsp; You could find something that has some sort of special meaning to you, or is about wine or marriage, or maybe a book he used to read to you as a child?, so it is sentimental (and make sure to get the hardback, or if it is an older book, a vintage copy maybe).&nbsp; You could write a very special note inside the book, or even have a caligrapher insribe it for you.</p> <p>Or, could you get photos from your grandparents marriage, your parents marriage, and then leave a spot for your own photo, and get a nice frame and have it engaged.&nbsp; If your grandparents are still alive, you could copy the photos for them too.&nbsp; I don't know if that is a good idea for his birthday, but it works for the anniversary.</p> <p>&nbsp;You could also plan an activity to do with your father at a later date, like if he loved fishing or baseball, you guys could do something together.&nbsp; Go on a wine tour? </p> <p>Fathers are always difficult to buy for, at least for me.
