Thanks guys!

No worry about the music, I have an organist that will time it accordingly.

Our pastor said their timeline is as follows - based on our wedding party:

Grandmothers

Parents of the groom

Mother of the bride

Mothers light unity candle tapers

groomsmen/groom come in

bridesmaids

bride

I've seen it done when the mothers are seated which is usually after the grandmothers and right before the wedding party. Keep in mind if you do it this way that you need to allow a little extra music. You don't want the mothers up at the front worrying about trying to light the candles AND worrying about the music running out. Hope this helps.

I've always seen this done before the bride walks down the aisle---usually when each mother is escorted in, they go up and light their candle. At one wedding, the MOG stood in the front and waited for the MOB and they both walked up together and lit them at the same time.

When do the mothers light the unity candles. Before the bride walks down the aisle or after. And I'm sure I could do it anyway I want, just looking for the customary way.
