The owner lets you use it for a wedding for FREE. It's located in Feura Bush, NY. The only downside is that you have to bring in/rent restroom facilities.</p> <p>A caterer recently told me that the Shaker&nbsp;Heritage Society's&nbsp;Barn (Colonie, NY) has recently been renovated and is now available for weddings. <a href="http://www.shakerheritage.org/">http://www.shakerheritage.org/</a></p> <p>I love barn weddings! It was amazing. My friend had her wedding at 'The Inn at Mountain View Farm' last June and it was gorgeous. I know that you were looking for venues in upstate NY - but I had to share this place with you. The ceremony was in this beautiful field overlooking the mountains....the sky turned gorgeous at sunset. And then the reception was in the actual barn! There were two rooms in the barn, one for the food portion, and a whole other section for the coctail hour, and then dancing afterward!
