If you love it, perhaps you should mention to them that you saw some bad reviews to get some reassurance. Was there anything specific mentioned? If so, find out if they've "remedied" those things.

BUT if you love the venue, there are always going to be some bad reviews. People have different likes and dislikes so if you LOVE it, go with your gut!

Also, in the good review on that site, the poster notes this: "I have read the previous posts regarding events at this venue. I can not speak to other situations at prior events. If there were problems here before, trust me.....they have been completely and totally eliminated. I will tell you that anyone who is reluctant to have their wedding at The Garrison based on those reviews, is cheating themselves out of a very special experience."

So that's something to think about...

I would find other reviews on other sites. But also, keep in mind that people tend to voice their bad experiences more often than they will their good ones. I always feel that for every bad experience, there are at least 10 good ones. And I found the page you found, and the most recent review is fabulous and they were the ones having the wedding! Take everything you read with a grain of salt. Good luck!!

I think I just found a great venue, but then I go to trip advisor and find 4 horrendous reviews of The Garrison, in Garrison, NY. Have any of you been to weddings there...what would you suggest to do after reading bad reviews of your site (that you fell in love with!)
