I truly want to thank you all for your concerns, and I'd like to clarify what I'm looking for.</p> <p>When I said amateur, I was more looking for someone who has a close friend that they'd recommend. Like a college student studying photography, who might have a small portfolio already, but is looking to expand. Not for some random person to pop out of the woodwork.</p> <p>Of course, anything I did would be in a neutral location and I would bring someone with me to make sure things didn't get out of hand. I'd never put myself in danger, no matter how much free stuff I could get. </p> <p>And as for trashing the dress, I don't really mean trashing so much as a photo shoot in lots of places with lots of visual elements. No rolling in tar pits or anything. Her pricing is very reasonable and, while you don't get to keep the negatives, you do get a book of your fav pics and your hair and makeup is included in the price. A photographer you've hired and trust with your wedding, fine. But think about what you're doing. </p> <p>You're planning to ruin your wedding dress and/or take intimate photos with an amateur? That makes me nervous. Especially the dress-you can't un-trash it and get better photos later. And someone who wants to take boudoir photos for free might be a little skeezy.
