HIGHLY recommend Rae Leytham!!!

I just did a boudoir session with her and loved it! She and her husband were proessional but also very at ease. It was in their home and I would very much recommend that! It made it comfortable and homey and it didn't have to be in a hotel room. They adjusted the temp to make me comfortable and offered wine and sangria. (I recommend it to take the edge off the nerves.) I thought it might be weird with her husband taking the photos but it wasnt at all. I spent most of the time laughing!

http://www.raeleytham.net/

My photos should be up soon! I am so excited! She sent me one just a few days after and I look SEXY! (but not slutty which isn't what I was going for.)

I've seen Lynn Michelle mentioned a lot on the local knot boards for boudoir pics. My photographer, Leslie Spurlock, does both boudoir and TTD photos, and I'd highly recommend her.

Hello again!

Sorry to go MIA all of a sudden. I truly want to thank you all for your concerns, and I'd like to clarify what I'm looking for.

When I said amateur, I was more looking for someone who has a close friend that they'd recommend. Like a college student studying photography, who might have a small portfolio already, but is looking to expand. Not for some random person to pop out of the woodwork.

Of course, anything I did would be in a neutral location and I would bring someone with me to make sure things didn't get out of hand. I'd never put myself in danger, no matter how much free stuff I could get.

And as for trashing the dress, I don't really mean trashing so much as a photo shoot in lots of places with lots of visual elements. No rolling in tar pits or anything. The dress might get a little dirty from being outside, but it would still be in good condition after a dry cleaning.

Thanks for your comments!

I've actually booked a boudoir session with Lynn Michelle. Her pricing is very reasonable and, while you don't get to keep the negatives, you do get a book of your fav pics and your hair and makeup is included in the price. I'll make sure to blog about my experience once it's over (middle of August)!

I second SV's concern. I'd fork over the money for the boudoir, at the very least. Seriously, check Lynn Michelle out. Here's a link to her "intimate" gallery (aka "eye candy"), but fair warning -- it's not really appropriate for work:

http://www.lynnmichellestudio.com/

Even if she can't do it or you don't want to go with her, she might be able to recommend somebody who could do it for a cheaper rate.

I would be careful about doing either one of those for free with a photographer you're not already working with. A photographer you've hired and trust with your wedding, fine. But think about what you're doing.

You're planning to ruin your wedding dress and/or take intimate photos with an amateur? That makes me nervous. Especially the dress-you can't un-trash it and get better photos later. And someone who wants to take boudoir photos for free might be a little skeezy. Please be careful!

Too bad you live in Texas, because I would LOVE to shoot your TTD session for free. I have so far only done two weddings where the bride was up for it!

If you are ever in the Northeastern part of the US, look us up and we'd be happy to shoot your TTD session! (www.perezsisters.com)

Good luck with finding photogs closer to you!

Hey! I am not sure if this gives you a good lead for boudoir photographers, but I found an up-and-coming photographer, Heather Bush, online and will be using her for upcoming enagement pictures. Her special for July is $50 for a session and August is $100 a session, which includes a CD of edited photos (a BIG plus for me!!). As far as I know, she does on-location sessions, but it doesnt hurt to ask what she might be able to do. So far, she's been really responsive, prompt, and courteous to me. Hope this might help!

Her email is: chunkymonkeyphotography@hotmail.com

Hmm. Not sure about anybody who would do it for free, but I know the Knot ladies seem to love Lynn Michelle for boudoir photos, and I think her prices are really reasonable.

I'm really trying to come up with a plan that lets me wear my wedding dress again (I miss it!) Anyone know of a good ttd photographer? Ideally, I'm looking for someone to shoot for free in exchange for use in a portfolio. Anyone got any amateur photo friends?

Also, thinking of doing budoir photos for a gift to hubs on the first anniversary. Again, know anyone looking to build?
