I think mine was well under 20, but I used a lot of gerbera daisies. I think it will depend on the type of flower you're carrying.

Like missm said, it depends on you and your wedding. 25 flowers may not sound like alot but will there be fillers? that can make it much bigger. also, are they colorful. ALOT of color may turn out to be too much...

It depends on the look you're going for. Some bouquets are larger and some are smaller - overall, it should be in proportion to you and the dress.

my bouquet is 8 dark pink roses and two stems of stargazers (usually 1-2 flowers per stem and two buds) and babies breath and some greenery. I didn't want a HUGE bouquet because flowers are freaken heavy!

I agree with anna -- that is a good number. When I made my FSIL's bridal bouquet, I used a bunch of roses (so 25 stems), 3 stems of hydrangea, baby's breath, and greenery and it was a pretty large bouquet. For her bridesmaids' bouquets, I used about 10 roses + greenery.

that's actually a good number. i loved my bouquet! it had 35 white roses with lilies of the valley scattered on the perimeter. keep in mind though - it gets pretty heavy carrying it around all day. here's a picture:

Just curious to know how many flowers are in a typical brides bouquet. My florist quoted somewhere between 24-30 flowers (roses & orchids) but that seems pretty small to me for the actual bridal bouquet. It seems more appropriate for the bridesmaids bouquets.

Can anyone give me an idea? Pictures for reference would be a great help!
