How many are engaged in your family including you? 3

Are their dates close to your date (if you know what it is) May 3, Sept 13, ours, Nov 14

How do you feel about that many engagments? My only problem is they invited every cousin. We didn't want to so it'll be interesting to see which aunt/auncle come. In all honesty, I don't care cause mine will be more like a rock show and defin. the wedding to remember

What worries you the most about so many going on in one family? None really. If they don't come, I'm not worried. I wanted 100 max anyways

My favourite cousin and I both married last year (nobody else on the horizon and we were the first). It did factor into my choice of dates knowing that for her, there would be trans-Atlantic travel.

One of my friends just announced her engagement to her longtime beau, and within days, her brother also announced his to his also longtime girlfriend. Their parents' heads must be spinning, I said.

I think it adds to the excitement of the engagement time, and it's fun to have someone close to chat with about wedding minutia.

I agree with the comments above as to suddenly having the costs compressed into a short frame of time.

There was two engagements. My fiancee's brother also got engaged last year.

Yes they got married June 8th and we are getting married August 8th.

At first I felt awkward because my fiancee proposed 2 months after his bro but it made his wife and I get close since we were planning together and dealing with an unwelcoming family together. It made us bond. I'm happy now that it happened the way it did!

Our extended family had a wedding in June, there's another one in September, and we're engaged. Between now and our wedding, there will probably be one or two more engagements. Luckily, we're all pretty spaced out, age-wise, so most weddings in our family have about a year between them. I love all the engagements - we live on the opposite side of the country from most of my family, and it's a great excuse to get us all together.

I think my only worry is that most of my cousins have been getting married older than we will be, so they have more $$ to invest in their day. Just means I need to be more creative, though! :D

How many are engaged in your family including you? Just 2, as most everyone is married, not dating seriously or too young (my under 20 cousins)

Are their dates close to your date (if you know what it is) Unfortunately, we have back-to-back dates.

How do you feel about that many engagments? it was a bit of a surprise as we'd lost touch with some aunts and uncles after Grandma passed a couple of years ago - until my mom found out about her date, I didn't even know my Aunt was engaged!

What worries you the most about so many going on in one family? I'm a bit bummed that my mom's family will need to chose which event to attend and I'm pretty sure they will go for my Aunt's, even though it is her second (I was the flower girl at her first). That said, I completely understand and have planned accordingly. I couldn't move my date and wouldn't expect her to move hers either, so I wish her the absolute best and hope that branch of the family will think of me on my weekend. Of course, they could all surprise me and come - I won't know until the RSVPs come back, but it is unlikely.

How many are engaged including you? 4

Are their dates close to your's? Currently no, but only 2 of us have dates set.

How do I feel about that many engagments? Kind of bummed but really excited (my family just keeps getting bigger) reason for being bummed below.

What worries me? One - will they pick my date; two - the amount of gifts to purchase; three - cost of gas; four - how hectic it will be for the rest of the family; five - it feels like once we got engaged everyone followed (ours in dec 2007, cousin's in may 2008, june 2008 both another cousin and sister).

My family is huge (Grandma had 11 children) and lately everyone seems to be getting married. The Poll is:

How many are engaged in your family including you?

Are their dates close to your date (if you know what it is)

How do you feel about that many engagments?

What worries you the most about so many going on in one family?

Thanks!
