I've heard from a ton of people that they've been happy with their weddings.  My fiance knows a guy that works door there and he let try a bunch of the food one time. MY fiance Trevor thought it was great, that means alot coming from him because hes a chef.  I havn't been to the the  Holiday Inn on Wolf Road but I know its a popular place for RPI (thats were I went to school) fraterities and sororities to have formals.   I have been to like 3-4 formals at the Century House in Latham.  The service was ok, but Ididn't think the food was very good at all. Plus the decor and ambiance at Franklin Plaza is much better.  If your having a smaller wedding (<120 people) Longfellow's in Saratoga is awesome! The food is really great. We would have looked at Longfellows more except we knew it couldn't handle the amount of people we would want.     The Desmond in Albany is also really popular. I thinks it way over priced, I've been to a few college formals there too and the food wasn't very good.  Let me know if you have any more questions!   Good Luck!  MissAlbany on "reception locations" http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/reception-locations-2#post-69753 Sun, 20 Jul 2008 19:27:17 +0000 MissAlbany 69753@http://boards.weddingbee.com/ I haven't been to any of those places, so I can't speak from personal experience.  Have you visited each of them?  Are there major differences in price?  What do you love about each one?   My wedding is at the Stockade Inn in Schenectady, and as soon as I walked in I just knew it was the place for me.  And then I tried the food, and it was to die for.  So my decision was easy.  But if you haven't visited the places, I highly recommend doing that before you make a decision.  jdoering on "reception locations" http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/reception-locations-2#post-68757 Wed, 16 Jul 2008 15:36:44 +0000 jdoering 68757@http://boards.weddingbee.com/ My fiance and I are trying to decide between the Century House in Latham, the Franklin Terrace in Troy, and the Holiday Inn on Wolf Road. Has anyone had/been to a wedding at any of these places? What did you think of them (food, service, etc.) Or can you recommend a totally different place? Thanks for any help you can give!
