Try Avon Skin-so-Soft Bug guard Plus IR3535 Insect Repelllant. It has SPF 30, Vitamin E and aloe and it smells really nice and goes on smooth, not heavy. I have wearing bug repellant but I love this stuff. It doean't seem like I am wearing anything at all. Good Luck.

My fiance loves fishing. Let me tell you- sitting by the lake in summer in Iowa = many mosquitoes. I got the off clip-on fan. I thought it wasn't working, but then I looked at him battling the mosquitoes. I would only have one around me for every 5 buzzing around him. It works, but is obviously not perfect. I am somehow scrumptious to them.

We have found a "new spray" that we're using this summer in Oklahoma. And so far (fingers crossed) it seems to be working. You get a water bottle and fill it with the brown Listerine, and add just a touch of water to it. Spray it in the air around the perimiter of where you will be at, and no mosquitos! I like to go around and spray it again about once an hour, but I really hate those things! It even helps stop the itching when you forget to spray it, and you do get bit!

My friend just sent me this email about mosquitos. I haven't tried it yet. When I do, I'll let you all know how it works!

Mosquito Spray...Worth a try
I was at a deck party awhile back, and the bugs were having a ball biting everyone. A man at the party sprayed the lawn and deck floor with Listerine, and the little demons disappeared. The next year I filled a 4-ounce spray bottle and used it around my seat whenever I saw mosquitoes. And voila! That worked as wel l. It worked at a picnic where we sprayed the area around the food table, the children's swing area, and the standing water nearby. During the summer, I don't leave home without it......Pass it on. OUR FRIEND'S COMMENTS: I tried this on my deck and around all of my doors. It works - in fact, it killed them instantly. I bought my bottle from Target and it cost me $1.89. It really doesn't take much, and it is a big bottle, too; so it is not as expensive to use as the can of Bug-spray you buy that doesn't last 30 minutes. So, try this, please. It will last a couple of days. Don't spray directly on a wood door (like your front door), but spray around the frame. Spray around the window frames, and even inside the dog house.

yes!!

I think we're going to use tiki torches and other mosquito things that can be used as lighting or something else that won't stick out like a sore thumb

I get eaten alive!! For outdoor weddings you can always have cute tiki torches around your venue and fill them with the oil that has bug repellent in it!! Actually works rather well, we have them at home.

That eating lots of garlic to keep mosquitos away is total BS. My husband eats garlic like it's going out of style - massive amounts of garlic (never have to worry about vampires getting me while he's around) and mosquitos find him VERY tasty.
