@ MissCamera - Well, we didn't want to buy a keg because we thought it'd be wasted and only give our guests one choice. Instead we bought 2 cases of Corona and Fat Tire, and one case of everything else. We also had some variety packs of the Smirnoff wine coolers and we provided several variaties of wine, sparkling cider, and champagne. We did have a lot left over, but we had a little bit of everything, so that was kinda nice. We weren't planning on returning the over-bought booze anyway.

@El Capataz, I have never been to The Desmond but from what I do know about it, it is beautiful! Your wedding will be fantastic!

Good luck with everything!

I totally forgot about an Oktoberfest beer! I can't have it all but since we are doing the RD at a brewhouse, I'm sure we'll have some there.

The beers you selected sound great!! My guests would be very happy!!!

We unfortunately can not bring our own beer. We have to order Kegs from them (cheaper then just serving it from the bar) and it is $300+ a keg!!! RIDICULOUS!

I hope you have an amazing wedding!!

@El Capataz -- We are actually bringing our own kegs of booze for the wedding. Since this decision is being left up to my parents I am thinking that one of the kegs will be either a Coors Lite or Miller Lite. We suggested Yuengling but my Dad disagreed.

I think the beer you selected are great choices! A variety of flavors should work.

BTW -- I used to live in Malvern =)

We're bringing in all our own booze. =) Right now we're thinking bringing in bottled/canned stuff -- coolers, beer, cider, wine (woo-hoo boxes!), maybe some bottles of sparkling wine/cider for a toast (pop, juice, water, and sparkling juice for the kids/non-booze drinker). And, when it runs out, it's gone!

We might also do a "punch or water" option. We'd have alcoholic punch, non-alcoholic punch, and water. Maybe a couple other drinks.

We had to bring in all the alcohol, so we were able to pick our own. We went for all local-ish brews... in Philly, for us that's Yuengling, Yards, and Philadelphia Brewing Co. And as a bonus, the PBC beer is brewed about three blocks from our house!

Also - we could only do bottles, but MOB was insistent that no one carry them around - she had it written into the contract that all beer had to be poured into glasses.

We have total control over all alcohol because our venue & caterer don't provide anything. They can order it for you but then they add delivery costs so we're going to get it ourselves.
We're having Heinekin and then various wines. I'm also getting my FI a 6 pack of Moose Drool for a surprise/gift. He doesn't drink much beer so I wanted him to have a kind he likes. I'll give it to him before the ceremony so that our photog can take a picture of him drinking a beer with his Dad, and Grandpas. :)

@AbbyM Definitely! They have so many great beers - Summit is just the automatic go-to brewery for all of my friends and family. The EPA is probably the most popular, I think. But if you're getting married in October, like I said, their Oktoberfest is so so delicious!
