I saw that on one of those shows where they take pictures of food. The Vaseline is supposed to help retain the moisture. I'd think you would also be able to acheive the same look with a coating of corn syrup if you're conserned with people eating the fruit. I've not tried this, but it might be fun to try. Each time there are fruit in the centerpieces it always looks great! I think you could also mix whole and cut pieces as well. I am having a yellow wedding so I will be putting in lemons myself!!! They were $60 something for 80 stems and the best price I could find. They did send us two different varieties of white gerbers and if I'd been a matchy-matchy kind of person I might have been upset, but it&nbsp;worked out perfectly for us.&nbsp;And the&nbsp;quality of the flowers was wonderful.
