Then I thought I wanted a mermaid lace Pronovias dress but I couldn't get over the scratchiness. I did not want a "big" dress. I ended up with a silk modified mermaid dress with ruching-- I hate ruching but it looks awesome...with a 6 ft train... that is weightless. :-) freaking love it! But once I got&nbsp;to the shop for my first time trying on dresses, my favorite dress was a strapless A-line gown with a lot of beading a split chiffon overlay. It had a long train and was very princess-esque.</p> <p>After I tried on many more dresses over 4 more visits, I ended up with a chiffon dress with an empire waist, a band of beading below the bust and a sweep train.
