Instead, I mumbled a simple, "Uh-huh" and fell asleep in the car. I left the rings at home, I didn't want to chance anything.</p> <p>Oh, and just to make you feel better about being scared... I was really nervous, too! But it went so well, I was talking to them while they put the IV in (which hurt a tiny bit) and then all of a sudden they were looking in my face saying "Ok you're done!" I wouldn't wear the rings personally. I do have a small Tiffany heart ring that I wear in place of my engagement ring when I don't think it would be smart to wear the diamond. Your fingers may swell a little, plus they'll make you take them off as soon as you get there, so leave them home. I've been put under a few times for various things and they ALWAYS make me take my rings off. And all my earrings, too. Metal doesn't belong in an OR. Good luck and I hope you recover quickly!</p>
