http://boards.weddingbee.com/ Weddingbee Boards Topic: do you add any additional #s to final guest count? en Mon, 23 Nov 2009 06:20:26 +0000 http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/do-you-add-any-additional-s-to-final-guest-count#post-249047 Sun, 05 Jul 2009 12:23:17 +0000 LizCailen 249047@http://boards.weddingbee.com/ <p>My venue works the opposite. &nbsp;We pay for the number of guests we turn in a week before. &nbsp;Then we can add and pay for more guests on the day of (up to 10% of our guest count will be guaranteed food). &nbsp;However, if we have fewer guests then we still pay for the number we originally turned in.</p> <p>I haven't decided, but am considering turning in a slightly lower number so I don't get stuck paying for a no show. &nbsp;Once I get all of my RSVPs in and see who is coming, I'll see if 1) subtracting maybe 2 from the list would or would not mess up the number of tables needed and 2) if I trust the people on my guest list to show up. &nbsp;I do have a few cousins and uncles that I wouldn't be surprised if they RSVPed then didn't show. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>We're having a small wedding so that we can have a nice dinner. &nbsp;2 no shows at $50 a plate would make me unhappy. &nbsp;However, living in the south a buffet or casual reception is very common so not everyone will understand the necessity of RSVPing and then following through.</p> http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/do-you-add-any-additional-s-to-final-guest-count#post-249036 Sun, 05 Jul 2009 12:01:57 +0000 msduck 249036@http://boards.weddingbee.com/ <p>my venue will charge a certain % if more guest comes then the # I turn in, did anyone try to avoid this by adding and paying for a few extra plates to avoid the charge and to save trouble?</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
