Yes. There's a thing call the instead cup (http://www.softcup.com/), one of their selling points is that you can do the bang while on your period.

I was using them for a while, but had some mid-cycle spotting that was bothering me, I think it was from the cup nudging things on the way in and out. I went back to pads, the spotting stopped, and now there is usually no bang that week.

They work really well, you just have to be open to putting it in and pulling it out and dealing with it.

We abstain... but not because of FI, because of me! I just have a hard time staying in the mood when I'm worrying about that. If it's really light, though, I don't mind.

I want to thank you for asking this! I'm too shy to ask my girlfriends, but I always wondered what people did. I thought that no one chose to get busy that week. Thanks!

We're LD so we had to embrace this... the first time we did it I cried & cried. I felt so gross. (I'll blame hormones for that one)

He wasn't nearly as weirded out by it as I was, so we continued to have sex regardless. My only advice is to make sure you have a towel handy & don't get adventurous and change positions. It's not messy during the act, but it will be once the session is over...

We abstain...my choice. I always feel a little gross during the visit, so I'm not into it. I have a friend that refers to THAT week as BJ week! Lol! Although most of the time my FI is understanding, sometimes I have to tell him to, "shutup!" Women really got the short end of the stick on this whole biological plumbing business!

Like some others have posted, we do it in the shower. It makes for an interesting and different ambiance. We don't do it if I'm in full on shower mode myself, but that's typically because at that time I'm not in the mood.

We do when it's not that heavy. He says it doesn't bother him, and one day we started cracking up laughing cuz it left a heart shaped red mark around his you-know-what lol. It does help with cramps if you orgasm because it helps your cervix contract, puching out more of the blood and possible clots that may be hanging on. Sounds too descriptive, but it's really not that big of a deal. Quick wipe clean up, and you are good to go. And you don't have to worry about lube!

I mainly wait until my light days, because I don't like the feeling when it's heavy. plus, when you are on your period, or like the day before, your hoo-haw is a lot tighter than normal, which works out great for him. So he doesn't mind the quick clean-up, and sometimes there really isn't any if we plan it right! :)

FI & I do not do anything during those days either. Usually he just gives me back rubs. I think he thinks that Aunt Flo causes me a lot more pain than it actually does. Not that I'm complaining that he essentially treats me like a queen those days... lol.

I never really thought about it. We just never do during that time. He can tell when it's on its way (I'm a grump when I PMS and I usual tell him that I'm PMSing and apologize for being so awful) so he just doesn't ask. And when it's all over, after like 4 days, it's got a bit of the first time magic to it. :)
