I'm also on the flax seed band wagon. For those of you who want to try, it's important to know that you MUST grind or chop flax seeds to get the benefits. Your body cannot process the whole seed. So oil, meal or grinding the seeds (I pop them in the coffee grinder I use for spices) is the way to go. Happy nutrition!

I use flax in everything as well as take a flax seed oil pill. I love the ground flax meal in yogurt (1tbsp), with flour as a coating for fish or chicken, in yogurt, as en egg substitute (many vegan recipes call for it) and mixed with honey for fruit. I am really happy with my skin but, I drink a ton of water and eat lots of veggies. Either way, flax rocks (and it's filling)

I started taking these on doctor's orders before eye surgery. They definitely help with dry eyes, and also with skin and nails!

I just drip some on basically every food I can think of. If you like a drizzle of olive oil on chicken, fish, salad, veggies, just switch one of those times in for flax seed oil. The oil acts as a lubricant in your body which increases the elasticity of your skin and hair while encouraging a beautiful 'glow!'

i buy ground flax seed, and mix it into oatmeal while its cooking, or into yogurt along with a little kashi go lean crunch- otherwise its a weird texture in the yogurt.

I read on a website about how flax seed oil pureed with cottage cheese and spread on toast is an anti-cancer food. The woman said it didn't taste bad, but got rid of the gooey texture of the flax seed oil. I hear it is good for the GI tract, too. Try getting a facial so you start off with a "clean slate" of fresh, healthy skin.

Oh.. I put them in before cooking so they cook right in. They soften this way. If you sprinkle them over food raw they have the consistency of a sesame seed. kind of a grassy flavor. to me.
