It was the perfect setting for our southern food favorites: passed mini grilled cheese sandwiches &amp;&nbsp;vidalia onion tarts, buffet of shrimp &amp; grits, mac &amp; cheese, fried green tomatoes, fried okra, summer salad, etc. We had rave reviews on the food. The favors were ice cold glass-bottled coca-colas and bags of roasted peanuts. I hadn't thought of that ... unfortunately the farm raises mostly fruit, so there isn't too much we can do with it. I planned our wedding to have a dinner reception (something I am regretting!). My fiance and I are getting married next June at a working farm. Our ceremony is in the apple orchard and our reception is in an open-air barn that is a short walk from the ceremony site. We are starting to look at caterers, but we really have no ideas for the reception food. I want to do something that will go with our venue, but neither of us want to go for BBQ or that kind of fare. </p> <p>Does anyone have any ideas? If you've had a barn/rustic wedding before, what kind of food did you serve?</p>
