Thank you for posting this. After receiving a return email with a quote within 5 minutes (and today is Sunday!) I was considering using them. But, fortunately I saw this before I placed an order.

They are terrible!!! Had the same issue like you but I just went with another wedding dress.

I just looked at their "Giovanni Brides" section my guess is those are pics they found online and maybe 1 is an actual bride that they did a dress for.

If you look at the clearance section those are their actualy dresses and they are ugly. On one of them the sweetheart neckline is clearly crooked.

I looked specifically for a blog so I can warn other brides - do not buy a dress from Gioavonni's. Every hesitation you have, I had. I decided to take a chance anyway because I was trying to save money. When my dress arrived, it was the wrong color, did not fit well, was not at all what I had described to them. I sent them very detailed descriptions and spoke to the owner on multiple occasions about the exact detail of the dress I wanted made. They were not concerned or willing to make it right. I had to take it to a seamstress who basically re-did my entire dress. Luckily, the end product was close to what I wanted, but I would never want a bride to go through the devistation of having to rip apart your dress when you get it from Gioavonni's. Just have a local dress maker do the work from the beginning.

I would not trust these Giovanni people... I always discourage knock off's, they use cheap material, cheap rhinestones and the work is just lazy. I've seen too many dresses done like that. I rather pay full price or bargain shop for a designer dress for my special day

Their work is so cheap.. so cheap looking. Wedding dresses are expesive for a reason I believe. If it costs $200 some one is cutting corners...

What pissed me off the most is the lady said that my dress is a size 16, except I bought a size 8 dress that I actually wore on my wedding day. They are not so good with mesurements either.

It doesn't sound like the company would care at all to get a firmly worded letter from these disappointed customers. It sounds like they'll do as much business as they can under the Giovanni name and then just switch to something else once the bad press piles up. I think it's a bit repetitive on this site, but in no way should they take it elsewhere - this is a big forum and I'm personally glad to hear about places to look out for, so that I don't waste my money.

You should write to the site to get those unauthorized photos of you removed, if that's really the case. It's bad enough they've used copywrited photos on their own website - at least here the moderator can remove them.
