I have a halo ring and I adore it. My FI designed it and was able to make it so that both of my bands (I'm lucky) sit flush to the halo. If you want a picture just let me know.

I think halo's are SO beautiful, but the intricate settings would drive me nuts. I have (well had, FI is changing it for Christmas) a split shank setting & I couldn't stand how dirty it got. If the band is made to fit the halo you could get it soldered together :)

My BF and I went looking at rings a few months ago and we both fell in love with a Henri Daussi halo ring! It was beautiful! I knew from the start that I wanted a halo ring. Most of the ones that we looked at had the centerstone and halo raised so that a band could fit right under it.

I cannot wear a band with my halo becuase I have diamonds on the inside, but it is very possible if you get a band for both sides then it will even it out.....

I love halos too but it's not what I've decided I want. Styles will come and go (it is a pretty style though) and whatever looks best on your hand and the band compliments it is what I say!  But those e ring pics here are beautiful!  Congrats engaged bees with those pretty halos! My preference is a plat band a teeny bit thicker with two (or more if he wishes) baguettes flanking each side of the solitaire.  Very similar to a style by Cartier I've loved for years!  Style and what's in and out doesn't matter to me.  What looks best does!

I'm attaching pix of my e-ring with a halo (disregard the random watch band under it-my camera wouldn't focus on the ring when it was on the white background).  You can see that the stone and halo are raised enough to have a band flush.  I don't plan to have the bands soldered so I can have the option to wear them separately.  I don't expect them to separate enough to be bothersome.

Thanks @texaslawgirl !!! I love love love the look of the ones where the band sits flush under the halo, but I'm okay with contured too if it's a split shank. :) Now I know what to tell J to look for. :)
