I voted under 2 years because I really feel like a newlywed still!! I guess it's a good way to feel, right? Hopefully that won't change when we have a baby!

It feels odd to hear people call my husband and I newlyweds. We've weathered so many ridiculous things being together 8 years before the wedding. Even though it's only been 5 1/2 months since the wedding, I feel like we've been married forever. I think anything under a year for sure is a newlywed, but it's all what feels right for you. Some people think a year, two years, two months... It's whatever you feel happy with. :)

Not sure why, but I think of us as newlyweds until we reach our one-year anniversary. Maybe because it takes a full year to have a first Christmas together, first Halloween together, etc.?

I think a year is the norm... it gives you a chance to go through a year of firsts as a married couple: Christmas, birthdays, wedding season, etc.

I have always heard that it is a year, but I voted for 2 years because I want to stretch it out a little :)

I think a year fits. I felt really settled very quickly, and I don't really feel like a newlywed most of the time. For me, that's a good thing though.

I thought you were a newlywed for one year, until your first anniversary. I like being a newlywed, though sometimes I think to call my husband "husband" we should have been married longer :-)

I always heard a year was the "newlywed" time frame. If you have a baby within that year though, I think maybe cuts it shorter. The newly mommy and daddy role surpasses that of newly husband and wife heh
