One of the nice things about this resort is the casino, disco and karaoke bar just off the resort, probably&nbsp;15-20 steps from the front&nbsp;steps, you still get all inclusive (just show your bracelet)&nbsp;and&nbsp;it stays open till 3am. The swim up bar was wicked and the shuttles that take you between your room and the lobby are awesome.</p> <p>There was a gorgeous gazebo just up from the beach where the ceremony took place and the reception was is one of the restraunts. I'm not sure what they paid for the wedding stuff, but it was 1200/guest (Edmonton,&nbsp;Canada&nbsp;to DR)&nbsp;for an early January wedding.</p> <p>Also, if you do go, walk down the beach (to the right when you're facing the ocean) past the&nbsp;stands of&nbsp;souvineres&nbsp;and over the bridge to the bar where they'll&nbsp;climb&nbsp;up a tree, pull&nbsp;down a coconut and make a pina colada for you, in the coconut! Ambar is adults only, but there is another part of the hotel&nbsp;(bavaro)for people with kids. If you stay at the Ambar part of the hotel, you have access to all of the resort.&nbsp; Many of my friends have been to this resort and have&nbsp;only said nice things about it. You have a wedding planning that you can e-mail back &amp; forth, and&nbsp;I have to say she responds very quickly. Her name is Cynthia.&nbsp; There are set wedding packages for the ceremony and reception.</p> <p>BUT there are other costs, for example: if you want seat coverings and ribbons for the reception, flowers for the reception, Open Bar....(we are not getting the open bar, because it's already all inclusive. Just give a nice tip to the waiter and he'll get drinks). If you would like the reception to be private, depending on the a la carte you have to pay $600-1250us. But I love the fact that it cuts back on a lot of the stress of a local wedding.
