I'm all for comfort, but I'm positive I'm going to be wearing the highest heels I can manage at my wedding. My BF is just over a foot taller than I am, and his dad and brother are both four inches taller than him! I'm going to wear heels just so I don't look like a kid in all the pictures. I don't know what the height difference is for you and your FI, but if it's something similar, I recommend the heels.

All that being said, I wish they weren't so uncomfortable. I have weak ligaments, and I have ended up on crutches many times before because I hurt my feet badly by wearing heels.

i would absolutely wear heels, no questions asked. there is a huge difference in the way my dress lookso on me when i wear heels under it compared to when i don't. my dress has a very similar silhouette to yours. i also think that my shoes might shoe in some of the pictures as well.

i would definitely wear heels for as much of the day as i could, and then bring comfy sheos as a backup. i only get married once, i wanna be dressed to the max!

I need all the extra height that I can have. My FI and I have 14 inch height difference. I do plan to wear heels but of course will have flats throughout the reception or as needed.

I LOVE heals and wear them to work nearly every day. That being said, I will not be wearing heals on my wedding day. This is the one day you will be on your feet and on the go from sun up to well after sun down. You don't want to be uncomfortable at all. Even a comfortable heal will eventually begin to hurt your feet, back or legs. I plan to wear a very low wedge shoe for the ceremony and change into some comfy slippers after. You have to be careful not to change your height so much as to drag your dress. I think a little drag is expected, but you don't want to trip over it and step all over it.

I love heels. I'm SUCH a shoe girl. I'll have two pairs of shoes - one pair of heels to enjoy for a while, and then switch it up to some very decorative flats. :) Why not have the best of both worlds if I want it?

Use Yoga to work on your posture and find some great (relatively flat!) comfy shoes for your wedding day!

I'm so glad you brought this up. I haven't decided what to wear yet, but aliciareneephotogapy's post inspired me to find something that matches my personality since the shoes will not show unless I show them. (I'm a clunky boot girl myself, can't stand pinchy high heels)

I'm up in the air about this as well. Heels change the way that you stand/walk, so maybe take photos of yourself standing in heels versus standing in fats. I guess you could always change into some comfy flats for the reception, but depending on how high your heels are, your dress might drag a little. Kitten heels seem to be a good compromise. Beautiful dress, btw, you look great in it!

I personally believe in never wearing shoes that are uncomfortable. There are comfortable high-heels and women shouldn't compromise and buy the pretty painful ones! We just perpetuate the cycle of bad shoemaking! I like the look high-heels give, it changes your posture too. But if you're uncomfortable, it's so, so not worth it. You'll look uncomfortable too.

I'd probably go with comfort, but sometimes you have to wear the heels. Because of the way my dress was designed, it would have been very expensive for me to have it shortened, so I had to wear 4 1/2 inch heels. Luckily I found some comfy ones.
