I want to know if I am ahead of or behind the curve? Glad to see so many date twins.</p> <p>We have done:</p> <p>-Booked a venue (ceremony and reception)</p> <p>-Booked a caterer, who is taking care of all the rentals, woohoo.</p> <p>-Booked a photographer</p> <p>-Booked a videographer (SO EXCITED about <a href="http://www.elysiumproductions.com/">Elysium Productions</a>!)</p> <p>-Booked a DJ</p> <p>-Almost booked a florist (I interviewed three, and picked one, I just need to email her to confirm)</p> <p>-Booked our pastor</p> <p>-Reserved blocks of rooms at two hotels near the venue</p> <p>-Nearly solidified the guestlist, with tentative approval from both families (whew)</p> <p>-Tried to book our cake-baker since I know who we want, but the most they would let me do is book a tasting for March. Oh well, I'm considering that nearly checked off.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Currently working on:</p> <p>-Save the Dates! Need to buy materials, ask a friend to help with the illustration, buy magnet paper, print and assemble the things, mail them. December should be fine to mail them out. Everyone already knows our date anyway.</p> <p>-The dress. I'm narrowing it down, I just need to find the one I liked on the East coast in a shop over here. Should be possible.</p> <p>-Ceremony music. I just need to email back one of these ensembles after I pick one. Several of them sound good.</p> <p>-Rehearsal dinner. I know, not my job, but the FMIL has been in touch with me about it and I've been giving input, and it looks like it's going to be awesome!</p> <p>-Marriage counseling! We're taking a marriage prep class at the church and it is awesome.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Need to do:</p> <p>-Invitations. Everything. I know what I want to do, but I have to do it.</p> <p>-Favors. I have it all planned, but I have to get moving on assembling.</p> <p>-Honeymoon. I have pretty much decided where I want to go, but we have to book soon.</p> <p>-Bridesmaids dresses. We'll get to look at some when I see my sister over Thanksgiving. Don't want to jump the gun on this, as one BM is trying to lose weight.</p> <p>-Book the DOC. Invitations.&nbsp; Find shoes, jewelry for me.&nbsp; Find accessories for my bridesmaids.&nbsp; Rent uplighting and a dance floor.&nbsp; Pick music for cocktail hour and make Ipod list.&nbsp; Book the rabbi.&nbsp;</p> <p>I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of stuff that I need to do&nbsp;:)</p>
