It was such a great experience and I was so sad to find out my blood couldn't have been used. But after I went to Mexico a couple years ago and couldn't donate, I asked him to go for me (his first time ever, and then he found out that he's "desirable"). I organize the blood drives for my company, and I know tons of facts about giving blood.</p> <p>If you're an O donor, you're in high demand whether you're O+ or O-! O donors can also be double red cell donors as well. The requirements area little different (the minimum weight for double red cell is 150 lbs and you have to be 5'5"...while for regular whole blood donation, it's 110 lbs and no height requirement). A healthy donor can give once every 56 days.
