I think strapless works the best, too. I'm a 36H and my dress is a 16- I found one that is super fitted up top is definitely the best. I also found a good strapless bra at a specialty shop in Kansas City. The bra is a longline bra, so it should work pretty well. I have even had those buckle under the weight of the breasts, but this one is actually made for bigger busts. I think since my top is fitted (it is one they told me you don't need to have a bra to wear- that's for normal people) the combo should be just fine. Good luck.

Congrats on your weight loss! my wedding dress is a size 14 though in stores I'm more like a 10, not sure how all that works, and I'm a 38DD on a 5'1" frame. Here's my thoughts on dressing up "the girls" - for me anyway, a straight across strapless is the MOST flattering. If you try to hide them under fabric they look bigger! V necks and halters make me have way too much cleavage. My dress actually makes my chest look smaller, very flattering. I also recommend trying on dresses specifically sized for women. My dress is from David's Bridal, size 14W. The difference is that a W size leaves more room for an ample chest. Moving on from the boobs, a higher-waist A line is flattering on everyone. Any kind of ruching across the waist will hide any stubborn bulges, and the high waist A line paired with a well-dressed chest will give you a defined waist. Definitely look for a dress with built-in structure, and invest in the right undergarments, especially a long-line backless strapless. It'll basically rest on your hips, suck everything in, and hold your chest up. Good luck!!

I'm not exactly the same situation as you are but I'm a 38DD on a small frame and as a result its very hard for me to fit dresses properly. I would suggest a top that has a lot of structure and boning for support but also details like ruching (sp?) too. If you're very curvy why not work the curves with a trumpet style? I think a halter neck could be nice too and would give you great support for your bust.

Congrats on your amazing weight loss!

I'm a plus-size girl who's super plus sized on top! I'm currently a size 18 but am working my way down to a 14 (I've lost about 30 lbs so far) but my bust size (44DD) hasn't flinched, and I don't think it's going to. I'm so worried about wearing a strapless gown because I don't want to be pulling it up all night, or worse, have heaving bosoms popping out all over the place! I've tried on a few gowns with straps/halter/vneck, but they all make me look like a linebacker, drawing attention to my shoulders and big-bone frame. Feeling sad, worried, and discouraged!

If you're a plus size girl who's well endowed on top, what type of dress do you feel flatters you the most?
