@MangoSmoothie: Good suggestions! I'm not sure some of them are my style (not a beer drinker) but I think guests would love 'em!

Hofbrauhous in Newport? It's (almost) one of a kind... I think the only other one is in Germany and it's super festive. Or Rock Bottom Brewery in Fountain Square. Note one-of-a-kind, but everyone loves a good microbrew! I also like Rookwood Pottery (more expensive), Sky Gallery (overlooks the runways at the old Lunken Airport) and anything on the river (Montgomery Inn boathouse, etc).

I went to a rehearsal dinner at Bucca in Jan. For 20 people the bill was well over $1,300. They charge a lot and grat high. I think like $20 and you must pre-order apps.

We are considering just doing something at our house for the rehearsal dinner, or something inexpensive as well. Buca's is a good thought - although you can never go wrong with Dewey's or Larosa's or something. :)

We're having the same problem, we're paying for it ourselves so we're trying to consider all options. i think we're going ot contact Dewey's pizza and go relaxed since the wedding is very formal.

Cmeddie- have you considered having the rehearsal dinner at someone's home? If that's a possibility I would suggest having The Hideaway in Northside cater. My fiance and I love The Hideaway's food, (we have NEVER had a bad meal there) but their dining room is too small to accommodate 40 people.

Olives in Clifton could probably accommodate your party and the are reasonbly priced....

I can make other suggestions but you need to let us know what area you are looking to have your dinner. Cinci is a big town and there are lots of great places to eat depending on how far you want to drive.

Buca De Beppo is a good casual place for the amount of people you are thinking of. I've attended a rehearsal dinner there and it was nice.

Brazenhead Irish Pub would be a spacious and casual place too.

Most restuarants let you have a room for the amount of guests you are interested in so that would be your best option.

Happy Planning!

We can't decide a place to go for 40 people that will be fairly inexpensive and casual. We aren't fancy people. Any suggestions...

It's a Friday night, in October...

Thanks!
