I think that an ivory dress is typically considered to be white (or a traditional wedding dress color, anyway) nowadays. I think a silver dress would be considered less traditional, but still in the &quot;wedding dress&quot; category (as opposed to red or blue or whatnot). I personally have a gold (and ivory) dress, and I know that it stands out as being a bit different, but it is still obviously a wedding dress. I would group my dress and silver dresses in the same category as champagne dresses - they're still offered as wedding colors, definitely look like wedding dresses, but are certainly different than the traditional white. </p>
