I am looking into silver wedding dresses and i was relieved to find this thread. Only thing that I am worried about is that it might make my skin pale. Well, that's at least how grey makes my skin look. I really hope it looks nice on me. I have a Maggie Solleto in mind. I think she might be my new favorite designer (but, that's subject to change if the silver doesn't work on me) LOL

I love these dresses!  And I think it's still traditional, it's not necessarily a color, so for me it's like an ivory, off-white thing.  I love the idea, and the shade still looks very formal and classic with a really nice modern twist.

I think silver is gorgeous and could be a really unique but not over-the-top way to personalize your day.  Go for it! BTW, at Loehmann's I just got this Nicole Miller dress to wear to a fundraiser...  $140 instead of the original $700 or so.  It's so light and effortless, though, I'd definitely wear it if I were getting married on the beach.

I love the silver.  if it goes with your skintone, I say go for it!  My dress is a light gold and it definitely compliments my skin more than white. When is your wedding?  I feel like richer colors are definitely appropriate for fall and winter weddings.  Or an evening wedding in the city.  It may look out of place in an outdoor wedding.

i love your idea of being non-traditional. i am always thinking of ways to make my day different from others and i think you have found a way to fit you. the only 2 things, i would do with this idea is make sure my bridesmaids dresses are a very deep color, like navy to make sure that your dress POPS in pics and have a fall or evening wedding (if you have not finalized your date/time).
